Sandy Cheeks from SpongeBob SquarePants

Sandy Cheeks (voiced by Carolyn Lawrence) is a squirrel who lives underwater in the cartoon series SpongeBob SquarePants.  Sandy is a scientist who created her underwater suit and air dome so she can survive in Bikini Bottom.  She is close friends with both SpongeBob and Patrick Star.  In order to survive underwater, Sandy must wear a special suit so she can breathe.  The suit is white with grey boots and includes a domed helmet.  To recreate her look, you can dress mostly as an astronaut and then add a pair of animal ears and a squirrel tail.  Put a pink flower decal on your helmet to finish the costume.  If you’re looking for something a little easier to move in, you could also dress the way Sandy does in her air dome.  Just add a purple ruffle skirt and strapless top over a squirrel onesie for a fun twist on her appearance from the show.

Secret Squirrel from Secret Squirrel

Secret Squirrel (voiced by Mel Blanc) is a secret agent in the same-named cartoon series.  Agent 000 of the International Sneaky Service utilizes all of the fun gadgets at his disposal to thwart enemy agents and fight crime.  To recreate the 60s cartoon character, you’ll definitely need a purple bucket hat and a grey trench coat.  You may have to cut a hole in the back of the coat to make sure everyone can see your furry tail.  To cap off the look, either don a squirrel mask under your hat, or forego the latex for a purple domino mask.

Squirrel Girl

Squirrel Girl (real name Doreen Green) is an unlikely superhero, who possesses the ability to communicate with squirrels. Surprisingly, she’s able to use this so-called superpower to defeat major supervillains. She sometimes works solo, but has also teamed up with the Avengers and the New Warriors.

Princess Sally Alicia Acorn

In Sonic the Hedgehog, Princess Sally Acorn is an anthropomorphic chipmunk. Not only that, but she’s the daughter of King Acorn and the leader of the Freedom Fighters. She can even be seen wearing pants on occasion.
