Haruko Haruhara is an unpredictable investigator for the Galactic Space Brotherhood. She finds herself on Earth on her quest to find the “Pirate King” Atomsk. Haruko’s appearance and personality vary widely throughout FLCL, but her most iconic outfit makes for an easy ride on her bright yellow Vespa Super Sport and consists of a red vested top, black pants, a scarf, and goggles.

In Zombieland Double Tap, Little Rock (played by Abigail Breslin) has grown a lot since the first film. Little Rock feels stifled by her post-apocalyptic “family” and seeks new adventures with a boy named Berkeley and young people her own age. Little Rock’s clothes are edgy, but still practical with tall combat boots and lots of layers.

Tom Wachowski from Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)

In the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, Tom Wachowski (played by James Marsden) is a friend of Sonic and sheriff of Green Hills, Montana. Tom is an invaluable ally who helps Sonic defeat Dr. Robotnik. While Tom can be found wearing a variety of clothing, he is often spotted in his sheriff’s uniform while patrolling Green Hills.

In Stranger Things season 3, Jim Hopper (played by David Harbour) ditches his typical sheriff’s uniform for a trendy Miami Vice-inspired outfit for his date with Joyce Byers. Unfortunately, the date does not go quite as he’d planned, but the outfit serves him well as he works with Joyce and Eleven to stop the Mind Flayer from leaving the Upside Down and entering Hawkins. Hopper’s season 3 look includes a bright pink and green shirt and light blue jeans.

In Friday the 13th VII: The New Blood, Jason Voorhees (played for the first time in the franchise by Kane Hodder) is resurrected from the depths of Crystal Lake by a teenager with telekinetic powers. Freed from his literal chains beneath the water, Jason proceeds to wreak havoc, committing countless murders with an array of unique weapons including a scythe, green party horn, a weed wacker, and even a sleeping bag. Because Jason has been sitting at the bottom of Crystal Lake prior to part VII, his clothing is not only tattered, but its remnants expose rotted flesh and bone, giving Jason a somewhat zombiefied look. When creating this costume, it is important to generously slash and tear the clothing to reveal layers of flesh and bone beneath. A two-piece latex mask with detachable hockey mask is the best way to truly embody this particular version of Jason Voorhees.

The Green Hornet (1940s)

The Green Hornet made his premier on a serialized radio program inn 1936. Since his inception, he has made mutiple appearances across comic books, television, and movie screens. In December 1940, the Green Hornet and Kato made their first appearance as comic book heroes. The Green Hornet’s original comic book costume consisted of a long green coat, matching fedora, and a face mask with his symbol on it to help conceal his identity.

The Green Hornet (2011)

In 2011, Seth Rogan starred in a film reboot of The Green Hornet as the title character. The movie re-imagined Britt Reid and his superhero alter ego in the modern world. Rogan’s costume more closely resembles the 1960s TV version of the Green Hornet than his original comic book incarnation. This modern adaptation calls for a green three piece suit, Venetian style masquerade mask, and black leather driving gloves.

Yennefer of Vengerberg (played by Anya Chalotra) us a powerful sorceress on Netflix’s The Witcher. Always a love interest and occasionally an ally of Geralt, she has spent much of her life doing whatever necessary to put her brutal upbringing behind her as she amasses more and more power. Yennefer typically wears clothing dominated by black and grey, often with multiple layers.

Dr. Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)

Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik (played by Jim Carrey) is the main villain in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Dr. Robotnik undergoes a stark transformation during the course of the film, evolving from a far more normal looking man into the bald-headed, mustachioed villain who is well-recognized by fans of Sega. Dr. Robotnik’s costumes evolve from a plan black outfit, to a red and black uniform before Dr. Robotnik’s clothes (and sanity) are damaged during his final confrontation with Sonic.

Will Byers at Hawkins Lab from Stranger Things 2

In Season 2 of Stranger Things, Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp) is undergoing regular check-ups with Doctor Sam Owens at Hawkins Lab following his experience in the Upside Down. After seeing disturbing premonitions of a dark and deadly force, Will is brought in for continuing observation as his family and friends try to stop the Mind Flayer from entering Hawkins. Will’s outfit is typical of a hospital setting, with electrodes applied to monitor his brain activity.
