Klaus Baudelaire

Klaus Baudelaire (Louis Hynes) is one-third of the Baudelaire Orphans, the protagonists of the book series and its movie and TV show adaptations Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. When the Baudelaire parents are murdered in a mysterious fire, they are put under the care of the sinister Count Olaf, who is after their vast fortune. This causes a series of unfortunate events that leads the orphans on a neverending escape from Olaf’s clutches.

Krampus

Krampus is a supernatural entity from German folklore and the titular main antagonist of the 2015 Christmas horror-comedy film of the same name. Krampus is an evil version of Santa Claus who punishes naughty people on Christmas.

Aaron Boone

Aaron Boone is the protagonist of Clive Barker’s cult classic fantasy/horror film Nightbreed, based on his novel Cabal. Suffering from nightmares of monsters, he discovers an underground city called Midian, and he is reborn a monster. Now he must protect this world and become its new leader, Cabal.

Pinhead

Pinhead is main villain and leader of the Cenobites from the Hellraiser film series, based on the book The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker. While there are Pinhead masks for sale, I believe none of them do true justice to the character and that he is best shown through make-up. Listed here are the basic requirements, but for little details and how to actually create Pinhead’s face I highly recommend watching this excellent Pinhead make-up tutorial

Dr. Decker

Dr. Decker is the slasher villain of the cult classic fantasy/horror film Nightbreed (played by legendary horror director David Cronenberg) and the novel Cabal by Clive Barker of Hellraiser and Candyman fame. He is a serial killer psychologist who convinces his patients that they are serial killers before reporting them to the police and having them killed.

Norman Bates

Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) is the villain of the classic Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho and the novel it’s based on as well as the TV series Bates Motel. Commonly cited as the first “modern slasher” character, Bates is still to this day one of the most insane and mentally complex villains in all of horror. Bates himself is harmless, but due to his split personality he “becomes” his psychotic dead mother (whom he had an incestuous relationship with) who murders any female she believes is getting close to Norman.

Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle

In Howl’s Moving Castle, Sophie is a young hatter who is turned into an old woman by the Witch of the Waste’s curse. It’s in this form that she encounters a wizard named Howl, and thats when her adventure begins.

Matilda

Matilda Wormwood (Mara Wilson) is a precocious child, though her parents ignore and mistreat her. When Matilda discovers that in addition to her genius-level intelligence she has telekinetic powers, she decides to use them to teach her parents and the tyrannical headmistress of her school a lesson they won’t soon forget.

Severus Snape

In the Harry Potter series, Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) is a professor for the Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts. His sarcastic and cold demeanor masks a complex person with enigmatic personality, and it’s never clear where his true loyalties lie.

The Invisible Man

The Invisible Man is the name given to the protagonists of H.G. Wells’s sci-fi novel of the same name and the classic Universal Studios horror movie franchise that spawned from it. Besides that, similar characters have appeared in numerous other media, such as the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comics and a stage play. Since there have been many people to take up the mantle, designs vary. Feel free to mix and match different articles of clothing. Personally, I like to use Solar Shields when I dress as him as opposed to Victorian sunglasses, because they look like goggles worn in more contemporary depictions, have side lenses like the 19th century sunglasses worn in the classic films, and are large enough to cover my eyeglasses.
