Dio/Robin from Mad Father

Robin/Dio is one of the major characters in the 2012 RPGMaker pixel horror game Mad Father.

For the majority of the early part of the fandom, he was referred to as Dio by the fans, and was also called as such on the Steam announcement page, but is called Robin in-game, so it’s a bit up for debate. He protects Aya throughout intense points of the game, and tries to get her to leave with him, to keep her safe.

Dio/Robin has short, fluffy golden-blonde hair, and brown eyes, though depending on the point of the story, one of them is heavily damaged/missing, and he covers it up with a wrap bandage. He wears an off-white/cream button up shirt with the sleeves partially rolled, cuffed brown pants, dark suspenders, and light brown shoes.

The Luminary from Dragon Quest XI

The Luminary (voiced by Mitsuki Saiga and Rasmus Hardiker) is the main protagonist of the video game Dragon Quest XI.  The reincarnation of an ancient hero, he sets out to fulfill his prophesied destiny when he turns sixteen.  The Luminary has brown hair that reaches his shoulders and wields a sword as his primary weapon.  His costume consists of green boots, brown pants, a grey undershirt, and a purple tunic. Finding an exact match for his shoes is especially difficult, so decide whether you like the cut or color best and then find shoes that suit that need.  Finish your look with a belt, a sword holster, and a satchel.

kazuya mishima from tekken

Kazuya Mishima from Tekken

Kazuya Mishima is one of the original playable characters from the Tekken series of video games.  The only game in which he does not appear is Tekken 3 where the likes of King take center stage and Kazuya makes only two brief cameos.  Kazuya was raised as an aristocrat in Japan before the death of his mother.  After his father threw him off a cliff, Kazuya awakened his Devil Gene, which provided him greater physical strength.  He trained throughout his childhood and eventually participated in the King of Iron Fist Tournament.  Kazuya’s general appearance has remained mostly unchanged throughout the series.  He wears white martial arts pants, and red martial arts gloves and shoes.  If you want the silver studs to be part of your costume, you can cut the fingertips off a pair of motorcycle gloves instead of using a fingerless sparring set.  In later iterations, his pants become a bit flashier with flame detailing, which you can add by using iron-on patches.  Likewise, he trades his standard black belt for a red belt with gold details later in the series.  Kazuya also sports a nasty scar across his chest, which you can use scar wax to replicate.

valentine from skullgirls

Valentine from Skullgirls

Valentine (voiced by Asami Imai and Laura Post) is an antagonist from the fighting game Skullgirls.  A surviving member of the Last Hope, Valentine aids Brain Drain in kidnapping and transforming Painwheel.  Valentine has blue hair she wears in a ponytail.  Her dress looks a lot like a sexy nurse uniform, and you can update your costume to be more accurate with pink fabric paint on the dress and cap.  She also wears white flats, bandages wrapped around her calves, and white gloves. She carries a hacksaw.  You can tie pink ribbon into shape and glue it to your leg wraps to get closer to her look from the game.  Lastly, Valentine wears a patch over her heavily scarred right eye, so you’ll need an adhesive eye patch.

Elliot March from Heart no Kuni no Alice

Elliot (voiced by Tsuguo Mogami) is the March Hare character in the Heart no Kuni no Alice/Alice in the Country of Hearts dating game series/movie.

He is Blood’s right hand man in the Mafia in Wonderland, and has a lot of temper issues. He also doesn’t like being referred to as a rabbit, despite being the March Hare equivalent of the cast.

His outfit is very layered, with a white undershirt, teal-green spiderwebbed shirt on top, a black jacket with purple accents, black pants, several tan belts crisscrossing everything, wheat stalks poking out of various points of his purple scarf, and golden tan knee-high lace up boots.

painwheel from skullgirls

Painwheel from Skullgirls

Painwheel (voiced by Izumi Kitta and Danielle McRae) is one of the eight original playable characters in the fighting game Skullgirls.  She was kidnapped and eventually transformed into her terrifying form by Valentine and Brain Drain.  Painwheel has brown hair that is mostly pulled back, though two pieces are left free to frame her face.  She also wears a creepy stitched mask with red eyes.  You can choose a full-face or half-face mask that is similar depending on your comfort level.  Painwheel’s clothing mostly consists of a high-neck sleeveless dress with thigh slits on both sides and cuffs around her wrists, ankles, and throat.  You can take a pair of scissors to your preferred dress to cut it to length.  A large part of Painwheel’s transformation is the weapon attached to her back, which resembles a large shuriken or a pinwheel, part of her namesake.  To recreate this aspect, you can purchase a replica oversized shuriken and attach it to your back or take a pair of costume wings and paint them metallic silver.  Lastly, paint your nails and draw dark veins using an eyeliner pencil.  You can also replicate the nails that stick out of her body using wooden golf tees and liquid latex to hold them in place.

Wonder alongside Mario, Luigi, and others.  Unlike other Toads, Toadette’s color scheme is almost entirely pink.  Her outfit consists of brown shoes, white pants, and a pink dress layered beneath a red and gold vest.  When deciding how to create your Toadette hat, you may want to purchase a pre-made crochet version.  Otherwise, you can use a pink mushroom beret and then add your own pom-poms by running a string of thread from the brim of your hat and through the pom-poms before tying it off at the end.
