Olivia Rodrigo is a pop singer/songwriter whose music has defined Gen Z. Known for her roles in the High School Musical series and Bizaardvark, she was an actress before dabbling with music. Her debut power ballad, “Driver’s License,” reached number one in multiple countries with millions of global streams. Her next two singles “Deja Vu” and “Good 4 U” also saw massive popularity. Olivia released her first full length album Sour in May, and broke the global Spotify record for the biggest opening week for an album by a female artist. Anthony is the blue Wiggle and a founding member of The Wiggles. Out of all The Wiggles, he’s the only one who’s stayed for all 30 years they’ve been around. Harry pursued soft rock route with his debut studio album, Harry Styles. His second, most recent album, Fine Line, has a more upbeat pop feel, with catchy lyrics and a summer feel. It features his biggest hit yet, “Watermelon Sugar.” It broke records as the biggest debut from a British male artist. His outfit on the album’s cover is iconic, capturing a laidback, retro aesthetic. The jewelry and painted nails shows Harry embracing his feminine side.

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club’s Band is the pseudonym of the Beatles on their album of the same name. Then the band reformed as a trio and branched into disco. Known for their harmonies and falsettos, the Bee Gees wrote all their own songs. He recounts the story leading to Brad and Janet‘s mysterious disappearance upon visiting Dr. Frank n Furter’s castle. He also teaches the audience how to do the time warp. Common audience participation lines comment on how he has no neck.

From parodies to voice dubs, it became one of the most viral memes in existence. Ten years later, Rebecca Black returns with an fast paced, electro-pop remix featuring Dorian Electra, Big Freedia, and 30H!3. Its music video borrows elements from the original, but a grown up, glam-punk Rebecca is street racing as oppose to going to school. It surpassed 2 million views on Youtube and 650,000 streams on Spotify.

Rich Goranski from Be More Chill

Rich Goranski is a character in the musical Be More Chill. Before taking the SQUIP, he was rather shy and unpopular. However, once under its influence, he becomes a bully. His newfound confidence quickly becomes arrogance, and he purposely terrorizes the other students. Rich used to torment Jeremy Heere, but they later become friends once their SQUIPs are synced up. In “The Squip Song,” Rich mentions that he was suicidal before obtaining the SQUIP, and that the SQUIP fixed all his problems as soon as he took it.  He is also openly bisexual. Gerard Canoncio portrayed the character in the original Two River production as well as in the Broadway transfer.

Regina George from Mean Girls the Musical

Regina George is the main antagonist in the musical adaptation of Mean Girls. Similar to the movie, she is the queen bee of North Shore High School and leader  of the Plastics. She befriends Cady and takes advantage of her naiveté. According to her introduction in “Meet the Plastics,” she is a massive deal. However Janis warns Cady of Regina, saying she’s the “apex predator.” Regina herself several standout songs such as “Someone Gets Hurt” and “World Burn.” Taylor Louderman originated the role on Broadway. Her outfit is trendy, preppy, and of course includes lots of pink for Wednesdays.
