Phineas T. Phreak from The Freak Brothers

The Freak Brothers are the titular characters of an animated series currently streaming on Tubi based on the comic book “The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers” by Gilbert Shelton that ran from 1968 to 1997. It follows the wacky misadventures of a trio of hippies and their cat. Phineas T. Phreak (voiced by Pete Davidson) is the idealist of the group. He sports a big, bushy beard and a nose shaped like a joint.

Katie Mitchell (voiced by Abbi Jacobson) is the main protagonist of the Sony Pictures Animation film The Mitchells vs. the Machines.  Katie is quirky and creative, and a film student in college.  Katie wears distressed jeans and shoes embellished with markered details.  To have some fun with her look, be sure to add little details to your own clothes (and hands!) like Katie does in the movie.

Gabriela “Gabi” Hernández (voiced by Ynairaly Simo) is the the 10-year-old deuteragonist of the animated film Vivo.  Vivo, the titular monkey, enlists Gabi to help him deliver a song to a famous singer at her farewell show.  Gabi has purple and a colorful sense of style, with a colorful plaid skirt an bright pink collared shirt paired with a checkered tie.  You can get the sleeveless look of Gabi’s character by cutting the sleeves off a standard polo.  And if you can’t find the exact skirt Gabi uses in the movie, don’t be afraid to find the most colorful one you can and commit to it.

In the 2012 cartoon series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Irma Langinstein (voiced by Kate Micucci) is a robot built by the Kraang Hive Mind who takes the form of April O’Neil’s teenaged punk girl friend. Irma is one of the enemies faced by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Alejandro from Total Drama World Tour

Alejandro is a character in Cartoon Network’s spin-off of Total Drama Island called Total Drama World Tour. He is one of the newcomers and one of the finalists. He is a member of Team Chris is Really Really Really Really Hot. Despite his charm and good looks, Alejandro is secretly dark and twisted. He knows how to manipulate and hypnotize other campers. He has no problem playing dirty, and that what makes him get to the finale. Heather ends up using her own wicked tactics to beat him, and he ends up getting trampled and thrown into lava. His body must be put in the Drama Machine robot to survive, and once his injuries healed, he became a camper for the all-star season as a member of the Villainous Vultures.

Ricky Ricardo

Ricky Ricardo is a main character in the classic 50’s sitcom, I Love Lucy. Portrayed by Desi Arnaz, he is a bandleader who entertained audiences every night at the Tropicana. Born in Cuba, he often chided his wife Lucy in Spanish, especially following her antics. The couple would often engage in prank wars, but they truly loved each other and welcomed a child together. He is married to Lucy both on and off screen, as Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were married in real life.

Jasmine from Total Drama Island

Jasmine is a character in Cartoon Network’s Total Drama Island spin-off titled Total Drama: Pahkitew Island. She’s a member of the Pimapotew Kinosewak, which translates to “floating salmon” in Cree. Jasmine was raised in the Australian Outback, which resulted in expert survival skills. She is a natural leader: quick to take charge and commandeering. Under her tough exterior, she has a big heart, and is kind to anyone who shows her respect. Jasmine makes it to the final four, although Shawn, her boyfriend, wins the season. Together they equally split the prize money.

Rick Flag from The Suicide Squad

Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) is a character in 2021’s The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn. He served as a colonel in the U.S. Army as well as a special operations forces specialist. In the first Suicide Squad (2016), he led Task Force X and a team of Navy Seals to defeat Enchantress. His success allowed him to continue in the leadership position with a new team. Five years later, their mission is to go to Corto Moltese to destroy Jotunheim, and then execute Project Starfish. However, this was actually a cover-up for a government mistake. Peacemaker was a spy on the inside, and he murders Flag in attempt to complete the mission.

Lucy Ricardo

Lucy Ricardo is the main character in the classic 50s sitcom, I Love Lucy. Portrayed by the legendary Lucille Ball, she resides in the upper east side of Manhattan with her husband, Ricky. Despite the societal expectation to remain dutiful and domestic, she longs for a career in show business. As a result, she concocts hilarious schemes to swindle the spotlight. Many of these plots include physical comedy and exaggerated dramatics, such as the iconic candy factory scene. It’s no wonder Wanda put herself in Lucy’s shoes in Westview.
