Aang is a youthful Avatar, originating from the lost Airbender tribe. He’s discovered by a young Water Nation girl named Katara, mysteriously encased in a block of ice. His childhood began ages ago, with most of his friends from his early memories having grown up. Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn trilogy tells the story of a heroic female protagonist who overthrows thousands of years of oppression, social class divides, and magical foes. Set in a feudal, post-apocalyptic world, Vin is the illegitimate offspring of an oppressive nobleman and a ska (slave class) woman. Such unions are forbidden in Vin’s society, because the children are able to develop unearthly Allomantic superpowers (which they can access by ingesting certain metals). Usually, an Allomancer will have one unusual ability; but a Mistborn, like Vin, possesses them all. On the Mistborn trilogy book covers, Vin wears all-black underneath her signature gray mist-cloak, and carries two obsidian daggers.

Yadina Riddle (voiced by Zoe Hatz) is the kind of girl other little girls look up to. It’s hard not to when she grows up to be the president of the United States! Determined and curious she is the perfect companion for her brother’s adventures. And the perfect heroine in her own!

Cosplaying as Yadina is fairly easy. A black wig in short ponytails, a blue t-shirt, pink coveralls with a star painted on the chest, black converse, and a stuffed turtle toy are all you need. That and a can-do attitude!

In Brawl Stars, Piper is a princess who deals a ton of damage while light on her feet. She snipes people from a great distance using her Gunbrella, then can float away from danger using her umbrella Mary Poppins style.

In Kubo and the Two Strings, Kubo (Art Parkinson) is a young musician with the unearthly ability to transform simple paper into animated origami creations with the power of music. He supports his ailing, widowed mother by entertaining crowds in the marketplace by playing his stringed Shimasen instrument, but he always has to be home before nightfall. The day he breaks that rule, he embarks on a supernatural adventure where he learns about the true magical power of family and friendship.

Muichiro Tokito is a character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. Known as the Mist Pillar, he is one of the nine Hashiras of the Demon Slayer Corps. At fourteen years old, he is the youngest Hashira. He is aloof and unaware, usually staring at the sky instead of paying attention. Although he takes his position very seriously and proves to be an excellent swordsman. While we don’t know much about him in the anime, the manga reveals more. For instance, when he was eleven, demons killed his twin brother. And when Nezuko regains her humanity, she distinctly remembers Muichiro.

Kitty might be the number one agent in the Turbo Undercover Fighting Force but that doesn’t mean her job is a breeze. Especially not when she has a partner like Dudley. They mange to make it work though, thanks in no small part to Kitty’s extensive training, determined attitude, and wide range of skills.

“Fifteen Million Merits” is the second episode of the dystopian thriller, Black Mirror. The plot revolves around a group of people who ride stationary bikes to earn merits that pay for their daily activities. Bing (Daniel Kaluuya) inherits fifteen million merits from his deceased brother, which he uses to buy Abi (Jessica Brown Findlay) a ticket for the televised talent show, Hot Shot. She sings “Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand),” a song that’s used throughout the series.

In his old life, Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) made a name for himself as a psychic. After messing with the wrong serial killer, Jane reinvents himself as a mentalist (master manipulator of thoughts and behavior) and consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation, much to the chagrin of Agent Teresa Lisbon.  His true motive is exacting revenge on the murderer of his wife and daughter. Jane’s blunt mannerisms, penchant for herbal teas, and three-piece suits make him an iconic character, to say the least.

In Wreck-It Ralph, Candlehead (Voiced by Katie Lowes) is the space case among the racers of Sugar Rush. This game within a movie is home to lots of adorable little race car drivers, all of them sugar sweet in costume even if their personalities are a little sour. Candhead, however, is sweet inside and out. She’s the comedian of the group and loves to have a good laugh.

Dressing up as Candlehead takes a little bit of handiwork. A brown beanie, pink felt, and an LED candle can be combined to recreate her hat. After that you just need a pink track jacket, brown shirt, pink skirt, brown leggings, black boots, and pink laces for her outfit. Don’t forget a green wig styled into pigtails to round out the costume!
