Sagat

In the video game series Street Fighter, Sagat is a renowned fighter in the style of Muay Thai kickboxing. He has an imposing physique, standing at over 7 feet tall with a hulking, 280 pound muscular build. He also has a large scar across his chest as a reminder of when Ryu “shoryukened” him.

Akuma

In Street Fighter, Akuma is a fighter with a demonic appearance, including red hair and glowing eyes. Both his appearance and playstyle are reminiscent of Ken and Ryu, though usually packing a stronger punch.

Skullomania

In Street Fighter EX, Skullomania’s costume is simply a black body stocking with a skeleton motif printed on it. The Kamen Rider/”Skull Rider” image was enhanced in Street Fighter EX2, where Skullomania’s costume gained a red scarf, gloves, and boots, as well as a belt almost identical to the Typhoon belt worn by Hayato Ichimonji, Kamen Rider #2. Both the belt and the forehead of Skullo’s mask bear a stylized letter “S”.

Mai Shiranui

In Fatal Fury and King of Fighters, Mai Shiranui is a junoichi, or female ninja. In addition to her formidable fighting skills, she uses her curvaceous figure and revealing uniform to distract and beguile her assassination targets.

Sonya Blade

In Mortal Kombat, Sonya Blade is an officer of the U.S. Special Forces. While pursuing Kano and the Black Dragon syndicate, she enters Shang Tsung’s fighting tournament. Even though she’s dressed for sweating to the oldies rather than fighting to the death, she’s able to hold her own against some of the fiercest fighters in the world.

Terry Bogard

Terry Bogard is an SNK character who makes appearances in Fatal Fury and King of Fighters. Terry is a formidable fighter who enters worldwide tournaments, but his basic clothes gives no hint of that save the fingerless gloves and sleeveless shirt.

Guile

In the Street Fighter series, Guile is a US Air Force major who sets out to avenge his wingman’s death. He does this by bare-knuckle brawling M. Bison. An F-14 Tomcat would get the job done much faster, but where’s the fun in that?

Blanka

Blanka makes his first appearance in Street Fighter II. As a child, he becomes stranded in the Amazon after a plane crash. There he becomes exposed to electric eels that mutate his appearance and give him his electric powers.

Cammy

In the Street Fighter series, Cammy is an assassin who turns on M. Bison to become an MI6 secret agent. Cammy’s gloves and boots are well suited for combat. Her leotard and braided pigtails? Not so much.

Chun-Li

Chun-Li is notable for being the first well-known playable female video game character, who was first introduced in the game Street Fighter. This has earned her the title of “first lady of fighting games.” Don’t let her cute hairstyle fool you though. She packs a mean kick with her trademark Lightening Kick and Spinning Bird Kick moves.
