Black Panther

In Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther is the superhero identity of T’Challa, the King of Wakanda, a fictional African nation. After eating a mysterious plant poisonous to many non-Wakandans, he gained the peak of human strength and agility on the same level as Captain America. Black Panther is Marvel’s answer to Batman.

Winter Soldier

Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) is Captain America’s brother-in-arms until his plane explodes in Soviet airspace. The Russians rescue him, using the opportunity to program him to work for them as an assassin code-named the Winter Soldier. They also patch him up with a bionic arm, all the better for assassinating targets.

Peter Quill / Star-Lord

In Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is abducted as a kid by a group of space smugglers. All grown up, he spends his time scoring jobs, hooking up with hot alien girls, and just being a rogue, until he finds a higher calling in life as Star-Lord.

Black Widow

Scarlett Johansson stars in The Avengers and Iron Man 2 as Natasha Romanoff aka the Black Widow. A highly-trained spy for S.H.I.E.L.D., she’s every bit as deadly as her code name suggests.
