Shaggy from Scooby-Doo (2002)
Shaggy is one of the main characters from the 2002 film Scooby-Doo, and is played by Matthew Lillard. This movie is a live-action take on the original Scooby-Doo cartoons. It follows the classic group as they travel to Spooky Island to investigate paranormal incidents at a spring break spot.
Shaggy’s look follows the original cartoon very closely and brings it to life in a realistic way. To dress like Shaggy, wear a green short sleeve shirt with a v-neckline, a white longsleeve shirt underneath, brown flared corduroy pants, brown sneakers, and to add even more: a sherpa-lined khaki work jacket.
Steve Raglan from Five Nights at Freddy’s (2023)
Steve Raglan (played by Matthew Lillard) is a career counselor who helps Mike Schmidt secure a job as a security guard in the horror film Five Nights at Freddy’s, based on the video game of the same name. Steve wears gold wire-framed glasses and has a greying beard. He wears mostly bland colors (think pale yellows and browns). While you may not be able to find an exact match for any of his shirts from the film, a yellow and blue striped button-down with a blue Swiss dot tie or a brown plaid shirt with a burgundy and black striped one will do the trick. Finish your costume with a goatee, which you can apply using spirit gum and grey out a bit with some mascara, and khakis.
Shaggy Rogers
Norville “Shaggy” Rogers is not so much Scooby Doo’s master as his brother in arms. They’re both lazy, cowardly, and have insatiable appetites filled only by Scooby Snacks. His scraggly beard and cracking voice suggest that he is still dealing with puberty after 50 years. Zoinks!
