Candlehead from Wreck-It Ralph

In Wreck-It Ralph, Candlehead (Voiced by Katie Lowes) is the space case among the racers of Sugar Rush. This game within a movie is home to lots of adorable little race car drivers, all of them sugar sweet in costume even if their personalities are a little sour. Candhead, however, is sweet inside and out. She’s the comedian of the group and loves to have a good laugh.

Dressing up as Candlehead takes a little bit of handiwork. A brown beanie, pink felt, and an LED candle can be combined to recreate her hat. After that you just need a pink track jacket, brown shirt, pink skirt, brown leggings, black boots, and pink laces for her outfit. Don’t forget a green wig styled into pigtails to round out the costume!

Love from Kuu Kuu Harajuku

As the brains behind HJ5, Love (voiced by Daisy Masterman) is usually getting herself into trouble with some new gizmo or other. Whether it’s new tech, potions, or crazy schemes she is the one pushing the envelope to try and make things go off without a hitch for her and her band.

Cosplaying as Love is all about details. A long black wig can be pinned up for the volume of her hair and then decorated with heart clips, then topped with a blue bow headband. A red undershirt is cuffed at the elbows then covered with a grey pullover so only the cuffs and collar stick out. You can sew a white lace ruffle around the hem of your black and grey plaid skirt to get her exact look. And then finish off the costume with red over-the-knee socks and calf-high red high tops.

Tristan Duffy from American Horror Story

Tristan Duffy from American Horror Story

Tristan Duffy (played by Finn Wittrock) is a male model tired of the limelight. His final performance is in a fashion show held at Hotel Cortez. While his manager and a few other attendees find less happy fates in the Cortez, Tristan ultimately finds love. As with all things in American Horror Story, his love story gets a little tangled. But it works out in the end.

True to his career in fashion, Tristan likes bold fabrics and wears things that many would not. He is partial to an embroidered silk robe, semi-sheer button-up shirt that he leaves unbuttoned, black leather pants, and black boots. He wears his dark hair short with a shock of red through it that will be most easily achieved with clip-in extension that are trimmed to fit the length of the wig.

Batman from The Batman Who Laughs

Batman from The Batman Who Laughs

People who think they know Batman won’t know what to make of The Batman Who Laughs. Hailing from a dark dimension he is an almost unstoppable supervillain bent on plunging the world into darkness. Whoever he kills or maims along the way is just a bonus as far as he is concerned.

This costume requires some specialty pieces and is a very warm costume to wear. You will need the custom helmet (which the creator assures can be seen through), a goth jacket with high shoulders and straps across the chest, a tight black undershirt, leather pants, leather boots, and a few bat-themed weapons. Bring those pieces together and you too can be the Batman Who Laughs!

Gretchen from Camp Lakebottom

Gretchen from Camp Lakebottom

Gretchen (voiced by Melissa Altro) is one of three campers mistakenly sent to Camp Lakebottom. Not that she minds! Though the food is gross the the groundskeeper is literally a zombie, she feels much more at home around Camp Lakebottom than she does at the ritzy camp across the lake. With her no-nonsense attitude and fierce loyalty, she is as stalwart a camper as any counselor could ask for! Even if she is afraid of chipmunks.

Gretchen is someone who values comfort over appearance. Her usual costume consists of an orange t-shirt over a brown long sleeve shirt, a white skirt over blue and black leggings, and brown shoes with white soles that look like low-rose Converse. She wears her black hair in pig tails tied back with orange hair ties and often wears large black earrings.

Too-Ticky from Moominvalley

Too-Ticky from Moominvalley

Too-Ticky doesn’t have a very large role in the new Moominvalley show. When she does appear though she is the wise and patient voice of reason (voiced by Katie Leung).

Her outfit is very simple. Her short blonde hair is topped with a blue beret with a red pompom. A red and white striped shirt, blue pants, and black shoes finish the outfit. She also sometimes carries a brown shoulder satchel.

Rudy from Papa Louie

Rudy from Papa Louie

Depending on which game you play, Rudy is either a Closer or a chef in Papa Louie’s kitchen. Outside of work he likes to rock hard and satisfy his sweet tooth.

Rudy’s outfit outside of work really reflects his preference for rock music. A bald cap and fake mohawk give you his hair style while white sunglasses and a black belt are his only accessories. His black overshirt has jagged edges where the sleeves have been ripped at the elbow and blue spades on either upper arm that can be added with dark blue felt cut into shape and either pinned or glued in place. His undershirt is dark blue with a black spade on the chest that you can apply with fabric paint. Finally white jeans and black converse with blue laces round out the outfit.

For added accessories you can always grab a bass guitar (if you have one) or a bear claw from the nearest bakery. They are his favorites, after all!

Inspector Carmeltia Montoya Fox from Sly Cooper

Inspector Carmelita Montoya Fox from Sly Cooper

Carmelita Montoya Fox (voiced most recently by Roxana Ortega) is an agent with INTERPOL that has dedicated her career to tracking down the Cooper gang. Though Sly has his eyes on her for other reasons (and Carmelita maybe helped save his family once or twice), Carmelita is still determined to bring the whole Cooper clad in one day.

Though Carmelita is no-nonsense her costume still has a creative spark. Fox ears and a fox tail as well as face paint and a blue wig help you get her general look. For her clothes you can choose a khaki overshirt or a brown leather jacket over a blue bustier top and dark blue shorts or pants held up by a brown leather belt. Dark brown shin-high boots finish the clothes off while a Nerf gun and some paint can give you the same weapons Carmelita uses while she fights crime!

Clover from Papa Louie

Clover from Papa Louie

Clover is a customer and later employee of Papa Louie’s. She is in the band Scarlett and the Shakers with other well-known Papa Louie franchise characters like her big brother Marty and their friends, Rudy and Scarlett.

Like the other members of her band, Clover’s clothes reflect her love of rock music. She wears her blonde hair short and spiked back with a black and white checkered headband. Her clothes consist of a button up short sleeve white black shirt, a white tie, a checkered belt that matches her headband, a white skirt, black leggings, and white sneakers. You’ll have to paint the toes of the shoes black to match. And of course her costume wouldn’t be complete without a set of drumsticks!

Sierra from Total Drama

Sierra from Total Drama

Sierra (voiced by Annick Obonsawin) is the biggest Total Drama fan of all time. She runs blogs for each of the contestants and knows everything there is to know about each of them. So when she gets an opportunity to be on the show she jumps at the chance.

Her costume is pretty static throughout the show. It consists of purple hair, a green choker with a gold pendant, a yellow tube top, light jeans, a white belt, and green ballet flats with ankle ribbons. Her trusty cell phone is also never far away she can blog all of her adventures!
