She invites Hannah to Frightside, an alternate dimension fueled by Halloween magic. At first, she’s scared of the monsters, but she quickly befriends them. Hannah becomes particularly close to Scary Godmother, Bugaboo, and Orson. While also sweet-natured and friendly, Hannah grows into a brave, assertive, and admirable character. This costume guide features her Fairy Princess/Queen costume seen in both movies.

When he’s in a crisis, he urges his brain by saying “Think, think, think!” and when he figures out a solution, he exclaims “Brain Blast!” While Jimmy is kind and caring, his knowledge can make him an arrogant know-it-all. However, he enjoys being the one to save the day. To him, there’s nothing whipping up a new invention or science experiment can’t fix.

Asami's Formal Look from Legend of Korra

Asami’s Formal Dress from Legend of Korra

Asami (voiced by Seychelle Gabriel) is probably the most mature and steady of Korra’s group. She carries herself with a sense of calm and collected poise that runs counter to the chaos the group so often experiences. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have her breaking point or that she doesn’t feel deeply for her people, and for Korra most of all.

Asami is fashion-forward and has several looks throughout the series. But her formal look is one of her most striking and it is one that can be replicated with just a little DIY. A high-collared sleeveless red gown can be altered with just a few snips at the neckline to create the keyhole in the chest and the curved angle of collar similar to Asami’s gown. Fabric Fusion will glue the seams down from the cut edges, creating a smooth finish in the area and preventing any runs or fraying. And it can be used to glue on a bow made of burgundy cord.

With that bit of DIY done, all you need is a long brown wig, gold decorative hair clips, stacked gold bracelets, and vintage-style black heels.

Risty Wilde from X-Men: Evolution

Risty Wilde from X-Men: Evolution

Risty Wilde (voiced by Nicole Oliver) drove fans wild when she first showed up in X-Men: Evolution. With her British accent and punk hair, fans were sure Risty would eventually become Psylocke or was at least fashioned after her. They were shocked to find out she was actually Mystique trying to stay close to Rogue using a fake identity the way only Mystique can.

Unlike Mystique’s usual blue appearance, Risty’s look will rely less on body paint and more in hairstyle. A black bob with purple streaks clipped in, to be specific. For her usual outfit, all you need is a beige long sleeve shirt, dark red pants, and blank ankle booties. They’re pieces that can fit into your usual wardrobe or easily transition to other cosplays, making this not only a great cosplay by itself but also a great option for people traveling to a convention or with limited space to store their cosplays

Courtney from Total Drama Island

Courtney from Total Drama Island

Courtney isn’t what you probably think of when you imagine someone on a reality TV show. Voiced by Emilie-Claire Barlow for most of the show (Rochelle Wilson voiced Courtney in two episodes), it quickly becomes clear that Courtney is in it to win it and that she has big plans for the prize money. Unfortunately that leaves her little room for patience with other contestants. Especially Duncan. Or so she claims.

Courtney’s style is thankfully not as high maintenance as she is and it makes for a great closet cosplay. A grey sweater matches grey gladiator sandals which coordinate with green capris and a white button down shirt worn under the grey sweater and cuffed at the elbows. A brown bobbed wig – or your own brown bob – finish off the look.
