Captain Carter
Captain Carter is a character in Marvel’s What If…? streaming on Disney+. She stars in the first episode of the animated series, titled “What If…Captain Carter were the first Avenger?” In this universe, Peggy Carter receives the super soldier serum instead of Steve, thus becoming the hero dubbed Captain Carter. As opposed to Captain America’s stars and stripes, this costume uses a Union Jack as its emblem as a nod to Peggy’s background. She even has her own matching shield. Hayley Atwell, who portrays Peggy Carter in the movies, voices her animated counterpart. Spoilers: Hayley makes a cameo in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness as a live action Captain Carter.
Mr. Knight
Mr. Knight is a character in the Marvel Disney+ series, Moon Knight. He is the alter ego of Steven Grant, who is another alias and identity of Marc Spector, portrayed by Oscar Isaac. The titular hero encompasses three individuals — Marc, Steven, and (spoiler!) Jake Lockley — who serves as the avatar of the Egyptian god, Khonshu. While sharing the same moon emblem and glowing eyes of the hero suit, this look better fits Steven’s posh persona.
Maya Lopez from Hawkeye
Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) is a character in the new Marvel series, Hawkeye, streaming on Disney+. She is an athlete and martial artist. After the death of her father at what she believes are the hands of Ronin, she sets out for revenge. She commands the Tracksuit Mafia with Kazi as her right hand man. Maya is deaf and uses ASL to communicate. This parallels Clint Barton’s own hearing impairment introduced in the show. In the comics, she known as Echo, for she can replicate her opponent’s moves. Tie your hair into a low ponytail and go for a bronze smokey eye look.
Clint Barton from Hawkeye
Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) is a main character in the new Marvel series, Hawkeye, streaming on Disney+. When the Avenger finds his murderous past as Ronin coming to haunt him, a trip to New York during Christmas turns into confronting old enemies. Reluctantly partnering up with Kate Bishop, another master archer, he plans to take down the tracksuit mafia once and for all. However, it’s all bigger than they imagined, for the head of the operation is revealed to be none other than Kingpin. The show introduced Clint’s deafness from the comic with a hearing aid.
Kate Bishop from Hawkeye
Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) is a main character in the new Marvel series, Hawkeye, streaming on Disney+. She is the daughter of Eleanor Bishop. After seeing Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), save New York at age twelve, Kate made it her goal to become a hero too. Ten years later, she’s a prodigy in fencing, martial arts, and of course, archery. When Kate dons the Ronin suit to escape a suspicious auction, Clint finds her and together, they partner up against the tracksuit mafia. However, this endeavor might concern a crime syndicate larger than the pair imagined. Talkative and enthusiastic, Kate hopes to coax Clint out of his shell so he can inspire others as an Avenger.
Kingpin from Hawkeye
Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, is a known antagonist in the Marvel universe. He first appeared in the live action adaptations in the Daredevil Netflix series. At the end of the Hawkeye series on Disney+, he’s revealed as the overarching villain behind the scenes of the moving company. He was secretly in cahoots with Eleanor Bishop to kill Clint Barton. Vincent D’Onofrio portrays this menacing crime lord in both stories (though voiced by Liev Schreiber in the animated movie Into the Spider-Verse). After the standoff between Maya and Kingpin, some presume he is dead — or is he?
Track Suit Mafia
Trust a bro! The Tracksuit Mafia are the antagonists in the Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye comics as well as the Disney+ show of the same name. They consist of aggressive yet amusing Russian henchmen who work under Sloan Limited, run by liaison Kazi. They answer to him as well as Maya, as she is the daughter of their former leader (but the real crime syndicate is overseen by Kingpin). Ronin had a bone to pick with the mafia, leading them to attack Kate Bishop, who wore the suit following the black market auction.
Alligator Loki
Alligator Loki is among the many Loki variants in the Disney+ show Loki. Our version of Loki meets them with his other variants, such as Boastful Loki, Kid Loki, and Classic Loki. When they’re under attack, they bites off President Loki’s hand. Many fans have dubbed him “Croki” — though that insinuates he’s a crocodile.
The Watcher
The Watcher (voiced by Jeffrey Wright) is a recurring character in the Marvel show, What If…? on Disney+. He starts each episode by explaining the many realities of the multiverse and introducing himself as the Watcher. He possesses abilities such as energy-manipulation and clairvoyance. The Watcher never interferes, but when Ultron-Vision finds his observatory haven and threatens all realities, he must break this rule.
