Misaki Yata from K Project
Misaki Yata (voiced in Japanese by Jun Fukuyama and in English by Ben Diskin) is one of the main characters in the anime/manga K Project.
Yata is the captain of the front line of the group he belongs to, HOMRA, and has the insignia of his group tattooed on his collarbone. He has a very hot-headed personality and will take every opportunity to go all out in a fight, usually using his baseball bat and skateboard in tandem. Despite being loud and aggressive at many things, he holds the members of his group very dear to himself (even Fushimi, loathe as he is to admit it).
While it’s usually covered by his beanie, he has shaggy copper red hair that fluffs out at the ends and hazel eyes. He usually wears very comfortable clothes as he’s active a lot, so the outfit we mostly see him in is a loose white sweater with blue collar detailing, green boardshorts, a red sweater tied around his waist, black socks, and blue and orange shoes. The look is finished off with a pair of white and black headphones and a black watch. Yata does wear a blue tanktop underneath the sweater, but you rarely see it unless he’s not wearing the sweater, so that’s pretty whatever you want to wear under it.
Juuzou Suzuya from Tokyo Ghoul, :Re Version
This is a followup article to the other Juuzou piece I wrote, if you would like to see the one for the original Tokyo Ghoul version, please check it out over here!
Juuzou’s appearance changes quite noticeably between the original series and :re, with slightly longer black hair, less prominent stitches, and two simple X hairclip sets, instead of the XIII. The eyes remained the same red, however.
In terms of outfits, it is also a lot more toned down and formal looking. As opposed to the vibrant colors of the original series outfit, this one is a white open collar shirt, a long black open-front jacket, black capris with duo patterned red and white suspenders, and black house slippers.
Juuzou Suzuya from Tokyo Ghoul
Juuzou (voiced in Japanese by Rie Kugimiya and in English by Maxey Whitehead) is a Special Class Ghoul Investigator from the anime/manga Tokyo Ghoul.
While he looks (and acts) like a character that probably wouldn’t be considered as one of the good guys, Tokyo Ghoul is a series that is fantastic at turning your expectations in character writing on their head, and makes good guys/bad guys a very grey area.
In the early half of the series, Juuzou has chin length wavy creamish white hair, held in place by hair clips arranged to form a XIII, red eyes, and stitches all over his body (self sewn). The outfit he wears is a pale pink shirt with details on the sleeves and colorful buttons, a black undershirt, blue and yellow suspenders, black capri pants with yellow and red patterned leggings underneath, and red house slippers.

Anzu Hoshino from Romantic Killer
Anzu Hoshino (voiced by Rie Takahashi and Deneen Melody) is the main character of the anime and manga series Romantic Killer. Anzu loves cats, chocolate, and video games, but her life is turned upside down when a wizard named Riri takes away her favorite things and forces her to live her life as if it’s a real-life otome game. Anzu has messy red hair she wears in a ponytail and while at school, she wears her standard uniform including red sneakers, blue knee high socks, and a cream-colored polo shirt. Finding an exact match for her skirt can be tricky, so opt for the one you think best represents the original. Anzu’s casual clothes often include cats, so if you’re chilly and need to add a sweater to your costume, opt for one with a cat print of some kind.
Rem from Death Note: The Musical
Rem is a character that’s found in the anime/manga Death Note, and for this version the focus will be on the live action stage adaptation of the series, where she’s portrayed as a lot more human-like in appearance than her regular shinigami (death god) form. For this specific design I’ve gone with what I believe is Megumi Hamada’s portrayal of her, as there are variations of the character between each version of the musical.
Rem is the shinigami that Misa Amane has ties to, by way of her Death Note, and throughout the series came to care very deeply for her, despite the fact that Misa was human. This comes out even more strongly through the musical soundtrack, with much more love showing through how she sings about and with her.
In this particular version, Rem has pale, pearlescent skin with grey and blue highlighting tones, blue makeup, and long silver-white hair with blue strands trailed throughout it. The outfit she wears is a long, torn and draped robe/dress-like piece with a cloak over top, simple white pants underneath, and white shoes. One standout piece of this design that ties in nicely to the original shinigami form that she has is the extra-long fingernails, mimicking her long pointed fingers.
Himeno from Chainsaw Man
Himeno is a character in the best-selling manga, Chainsaw Man. Illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the series was serialized in the weekly Shonen Jump magazine for two years until December 2020. It was adapted into an anime series in 2022 which now premieres weekly episodes on Crunchyroll and Hulu. Chainsaw Man takes place in a world where devils are born from fears. Himeno is a Public Safety Devil Hunter who works for Makima. She is partnered with Aki, and they both take hunting devils very seriously. She has a contract with the Ghost Devil. In exchange for her right eye, Himeno can summon and control the invisible arm of the Ghost Devil.
Emma from The Promised Neverland
In The Promised Neverland, Emma is a smart, cheerful, friendly 11 year old living at the Grace Field House orphanage. Life there is idyllic, with good food, comfortable beds, and plenty of games. When they find out that their purpose is to be raised as meat for demons, it’s Emma who leads the other orphans to escape for freedom.
Aki from Chainsaw Man
Aki Hayakawa is a character in the best selling-manga (and now anime series) Chainsaw Man. The series takes place in a world where devils are born from fears. Aki works for Makima as a public safety devil hunter. However, he takes his responsibilities more seriously than Denji. While he comes off as stoic, he deeply cares for his peers. He has a contract with the Fox Devil and Curse Devil which allows him to summon their abilities. His later contract with the Future Devil gives him a glimpse into a horrible future, which results in a fatal fight.
