Ariel is just as stylish on shore as she is under the sea! On land she wears a frilly light ocean blue dress that is perfectly fit for a princess. The details in her costumes throughout the film reflect the theme of the sea and all things underwater. The light and airy ruffles on her dresses remind us of waves, and the ruching resembles patterns on fish. Other than blue, she also has lots of pink details.
