Osamu Dazai from Bungo Stray Dogs

Osamu Dazai (voiced in Japanese by Mamoru Miyano and in English by Kaiji Tang) is one of the main characters in the anime/manga Bungo Stray Dogs.

Dazai used to be a member of the Port Mafia, partnered with Chuuya, until he defected and went to join the Armed Detective Agency, the opposing organization. He has the ability to nullify other’s powers, and this has been largely beneficial with keeping Chuuya’s god powers in check.

He has fluffy brown hair and similarly colored eyes. The outfit we usually see Dazai in is semi-formal, he wears a blueish-white button up shirt, a bolo tie, a blue undervest, a black vest over top, cream pants, brown shoes, a tan longcoat, and is wrapped in white bandages all over his torso and arms.

Nagisa Momoe from Puella Magi Madoka Magica

Nagisa (voiced in Japanese by Kana Asumi and in English by Xanthe Huynh) is a secondary main character in the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series. For this piece I’ve chosen her magical girl outfit, but I’ll do a follow-up for her civilian outfit later.

She started off the series as a Witch and later ends up becoming a key part of the group, as well as becoming a magical girl like the others. As the youngest of the group she’s a lot more childish and cheerful, but does have serious moments.

Nagisa’s magical outfit is very whimsical like the rest of her personality, accentuated by long curly white hair worn in small pigtails sticking out of her brown cat eared hat, and big yellow/orange eyes. She wears a cropped undershirt, a pink poncho, brown bloomers with bowed suspenders attached, and she has fingerless gloves and spotted tights, with orange soles (though I did go with ballet flats just because I couldn’t find ones built in).

Kazuya Shibuya (Naru) from Ghost Hunt

Kazuya [also known as Naru] (voiced in Japanese by Yuuki Tai and in English by Todd Haberkorn) is one of the main characters in the anime/manga Ghost Hunt.

He is the one that hires Mai to work for Shibuya Psychic Research, which he also owns, because he initially demanded that she work to repay the equipment she broke and the injury she caused. The nickname ‘Naru’ is one that Mai gave him, as an abbreviation for ‘narcissist’.

His whole appearance is very monochromatic, with dark blue-grey eyes, short black hair, and his whole outfit is dark tones. He wears a black button up with a black jacket over top, black slacks, and dark brown shoes.

Bard from Kuroshitsuji

Bard/Bardroy (voiced in Japanese by Hiroki Tōchi and in English by Ian Sinclair) is the cook and part of the main defense team of the Phantomhive Manor in the anime/manga Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler.

He is a retired (by way of being hired to serve Ciel) American veteran and while he’s not the best cook in the world, he’s much better at the fighting aspect.

Bard has bright blue eyes, short, tousled blonde hair, and a stubbly chin. The main outfit we see him in is a full white chef’s coat and apron, white pants, black boots, blue goggles, and he usually has a cigarette hanging from his mouth.

Juuzou Suzuya from Tokyo Ghoul, :Re Version

This is a followup article to the other Juuzou piece I wrote, if you would like to see the one for the original Tokyo Ghoul version, please check it out over here!

Juuzou’s appearance changes quite noticeably between the original series and :re, with slightly longer black hair, less prominent stitches, and two simple X hairclip sets, instead of the XIII. The eyes remained the same red, however.

In terms of outfits, it is also a lot more toned down and formal looking. As opposed to the vibrant colors of the original series outfit, this one is a white open collar shirt, a long black open-front jacket, black capris with duo patterned red and white suspenders, and black house slippers.

Juuzou Suzuya from Tokyo Ghoul

Juuzou (voiced in Japanese by Rie Kugimiya and in English by Maxey Whitehead) is a Special Class Ghoul Investigator from the anime/manga Tokyo Ghoul.

While he looks (and acts) like a character that probably wouldn’t be considered as one of the good guys, Tokyo Ghoul is a series that is fantastic at turning your expectations in character writing on their head, and makes good guys/bad guys a very grey area.

In the early half of the series, Juuzou has chin length wavy creamish white hair, held in place by hair clips arranged to form a XIII, red eyes, and stitches all over his body (self sewn). The outfit he wears is a pale pink shirt with details on the sleeves and colorful buttons, a black undershirt, blue and yellow suspenders, black capri pants with yellow and red patterned leggings underneath, and red house slippers.

Chase Devineaux from Carmen Sandiego

Chase Devineaux (voiced by Rafael Petardi) is one of the former agents of Interpol, turned A.C.M.E., from the Netflix adaptation of Carmen Sandiego.

He is very much the blundering detective type character, but is ready and willing to get the job done once he figures out what side he’s working for.

Chase has short, styled up brown hair, brown eyes, and a dark stubbled face. He wears a white button up shirt, a striped tie, a brown open-front jacket over top, dark slacks, a black belt, and black loafers.

Aya Tademaru from Kemono Jihen

Aya (voiced in Japanese by Kaede Hondo and in English by Corina Boettger) is one of the secondary characters in the anime/manga Kemono Jihen.

Revealed in Shiki’s backstory, Aya has complicated ties between the kemono and human world, as she was born to be used as a tool, instead of raised as a proper child. Since reconciling with her brother and mom, Aya has stepped extremely outside of the shell that she used to be and is very loudly her own person now.

She has bubblegum pink hair, tied up in a high ponytail, and purple eyes. Her chosen outfit consists of a burgundy choker collar, a matching tube top, light blue short-shorts with spider webbing at the bottom, an over-sized jacket that matches her hair, with a gold spiderweb on it alluding to her powers, and the look is finished off with black socks and red high-top sneakers.

Billy Joe Cobra from Dude, That’s My Ghost!

Billy Joe Cobra (voiced by Darren “Beardyman” Foreman) is one of the two main protagonists in the Disney cartoon series, Dude, That’s My Ghost! along with Spencer Wright.

Billy is the ghost of a (former, by technicality of death) popstar, who still holds a passion for both music and the fame scene in general, enjoying the hold he still has on parts of it.

While he had human colored hair and skin when he was alive, his color scheme upon death turned pale and blue, which left him with light blue hair, in the same style as it was when he was living. Like Spencer, he has typical cartoon black circles for his eyes.

His usual outfit is a orange button-up shirt with yellow stripes across it, a thin long red tie, a green half-jacket over top, standard blue jeans, and orange high-top shoes.

Chrollo Lucilfer’s York New Disguise from Hunter x Hunter

Chrollo (voiced in Japanese by Mamoru Miyano and in English by Robbie Daymond) is the founder and current leader of the Phantom Troupe is the anime/manga Hunter x Hunter.

The outfit I’ve chosen for this article is the disguise that he wears in the York New arc when he’s infiltrating to steal Neon Nostrade’s nen ability, though he does have several other outfits that will be featured in another article later on.

Chrollo has soft grey eyes, and while he usually wears his hair slicked back, for this outfit he wears it loose and down, with a greenish grey ribbon covering the cross tattoo he has on his forehead. He wears the bauble earrings that he usually has on for this, but the rest of it is a pretty standard suit jacket and pants over a white shirt, black tie, and black oxfords finishing off the look.
