Lilo and Stitch
Ohana means family, which means no one gets left behind or forgotten about. Lilo and Stitch is Disney animated movie made in 2002. The setting is Hawaii, where a six year old girl (and a fan of Elvis) named Lilo Pelekai lives with her big sister, Nani. Seen as an oddball by the other kids in the neighborhood, she begs Nani for a puppy so she won't be lonely. At the same time, Experiment 626 has escaped intergalactic prison and landed on Earth. The alien infiltrates the animal shelter, and Lilo chooses it as her pet. She names it Stitch, symbolizing stitching her family, or ohana, back together. At first, Stitch is mischievous and aggressive, but he eventually learns the importance of Lilo's friendship. Their bond causes Stitch to defy his intended destructive tendencies to keep the ohana together. After the success of the movie, a spinoff TV series aired on Disney Channel from 2003 to 2006.
