Stan S. Stanman from Monkey Island
Stan S. Stanman is a salesman who frequently encounters Guybrush Threepwood in Monkey Island. Stan has sold everything from used ships and coffins to courtroom souvenirs. He is shrewd in the worst way, willing to do almost anything in order to close a sale. Stan wears an oversized white hat with a red brim and a loudly patterned jacket, as well as red breeches. There are a lot of ways you could duplicate Stan’s jacket, including using a blazer, a flannel, or making your own with fabric paint if you’re feeling creative! You may even get lucky and find a one-of-a-kind vintage piece like the longer coat below to fit your needs. To create the red brim pattern on Stan’s hat, use red fabric paint or markers.

Guybrush Threepwood
In the Monkey Island game series, Guybrush Ulysses Threepwood considers himself a mighty pirate, though others often bungle his name and mistake him for a floors inspector. Among his quirks are a dislike of heavy syrup and an irrational fear of porcelain.
Laverne from Day of the Tentacle
For those who never played the mid-90’s LucasArts graphic adventure game, Day of the Tentacle (a sequel to Maniac Mansion), let me be the first to say: you’re missing out, man. This game was LEGIT. A diabolical, disembodied purple tentacle tries to take over the world, portable toilets are equipped for time travel, and there’s a head-banging roadie name ‘Hoagie’. Trippy space-cadet and med-school student, Laverne, is one of the three main characters. She flutters about the screen in a gangly way with her wonky eye and wacky giggle. And eventually…she saves the day. Snag her style – complete with scalpel and nerdy protagonist-pal, Bernard.
