Tariq is a minor recurring character in Abbott Elementary, now streaming on Hulu. Played by comedian and rapper Zack Fox, Tariq is Janine's ex-boyfriend of ten years. He is an aspiring rapper, who gets a gig doing shows for F.A.D.E around the Philadelphia area, and later in New York to record an album.
