Snake from Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus

Snake (voiced in Japanese by Takuma Terashima and in English by Spike Spencer) is one of the secondary main characters in the anime/manga Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler.

Originally one of the first-string members of the Noah’s Ark Circus with an act to match his name, Snake eventually ended up coming to work at the Phantomhive manor, after the horrific end of all of his friends. In current storyline, he is on a mission with Finny, at Ciel’s order.

He has pale grey hair, matching eyelashes/eyebrows, golden snake-like eyes, and scaled skin. Snake carries around several of his own snakes because he can speak with them coherently, so he’s never usually seen without one. His outfit is very monochromatic, with the main highlights of his shirt being stand-out thick white stripes, while the rest is black detailed, with black pants, and thigh high lace up black boots.

Dagger from Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus

Dagger (voiced in Japanese by Nobuhiko Okamoto and in English by Michael Sinterniklaas) is one of the secondary main characters in the Book of Circus arc in the anime/manga Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler.

He is one of the first-string members of the Noah’s Ark Circus troupe, and their resident juggler and knife thrower. He tends to be a bit hot-headed when it comes to other people approaching Beast, but is generally rather friendly to others around him.

Dagger has light green eyes with purpley-red eyeshadow around them, red makeup dots on his cheeks, and blonde hair with black bangs (he had black hair as a child, it appears to be bleached). His outfit colors are similar to Snake’s, with a few more pops of colors. Dagger wears a red and black hat off-center on his head, a black and white striped shirt with a ruffled collar, a tan vest over top, black capri-style pants with a skirt piece over top, and black and white boots.

Doll (Performance Dress) from Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus

This is a follow-up article to the previous Doll one I did, but this one will be covering her performance outfit. If you would like to read up on how to make her Freckles look, it’s linked here!

I included the wig and scar makeup used in the prior tutorial, but you can’t see them past the headpiece usually, so that’s optional if you want to use them or not. This outfit is a lot more showy than her civilian outfit, mostly capitalizing on a rose motif. The dress is puffed up with a white rose petticoat trim, the headdress is comprised of white roses, and the rest of her accessories also mirror that theme. She emulates almost a ballet dancer stylized doll, while doing her tightrope balancing act.

For the parasol you may need to paint the handle if you want it to be completely accurate, and for the tights I was unable to find a pair split exactly in that style, so I included two pairs of long socks, please just use one from each to have the same effect.

Wendy from Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus

Wendy (voiced in Japanese by Mayumi Shintani and in English by Rachel Robinson) is one of the secondary main characters in the Book of Circus arc in the anime/manga Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler.

She is one of the first-string members of Noah’s Ark Circus, and works in tandem with Peter in a trapeze artist act. While she looks like a young child, we do not know her actual age, as she is severely stunted in growth and has looked like this for a very long time. She tends to be more soft-spoken and acts in a way that indicates her true age.

Wendy has mid-tone long brown hair, tied up in two large buns almost to the side of her head, and has deep brown eyes highlighted by long false eyelashes and three magenta diamonds under her eye. She wears a child-like pink dress, accented with a large amount of ruffles and stripes, a crown headpiece, black heel-less tights with a pompom on the end, and ribbons on her arms.

Peter from Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus

Peter (voiced in Japanese by Yūki Tai and in English by Vic Mignogna) is one of the secondary main characters in the Book of Circus arc in the anime/manga Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler.

He is one of the first-string members in Noah’s Arc Circus and does the flying trapeze act with Wendy. Like Wendy, he looks extremely young, but is very stunted in his growth and is much older than he appears. Unlike Wendy, he very much does not act his supposed age, and is prone to being irritable and rude, even violent at times. Wendy and Jumbo appear to be two of the people he cares the most about, being almost inseparable from Wendy and treating Jumbo with respect.

He has short, overly-fluffy blonde hair topped with a small green off-center hat, and he has light blue eyes, accented by green diamonds on the opposite side of Wendy’s pink ones. His circus outfit consists of a double-ruffled high white collar, a puff sleeve white button up short-sleeved shirt, a lime green vest, dark green puff bloomer-style shorts with yellow star detailing on them, and open toe white tights.

Joker from Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus

Joker (voiced in Japanese by Mamoru Miyano and in English by Matthew Mercer) is one of the key characters in the Book of Circus arc in the anime/manga Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler.

He is the technical leader of the Noah’s Ark Circus, as well as a first-string member. While he is boisterous and showy during the performances, Joker is also very serious when it comes to the more gruesome tasks he is made to do.

Joker has blueish purple eyes highlighted with black eyeliner and a tealy blue teardrop drawn on. He has heavily stylized bleached bright orange hair that’s clipped back and braided (a note on the wig, every single Joker one I found had the purple section. I would advise either trying to bleach it yourself, if you are experienced, or try and trim it and add in the hair insert clips). His outfit is very showy, as the ringmaster, and has lots of thematic diamond theming tying in the vest and pants together. As with a few of the other members of the circus troupe, he has a missing limb, so while one of his hands is gloved, the other is a replacement skeletal arm.
