Pin-Lee from Murderbot
Pin-Lee (played by Sabrina Wu) is a member of the PreservationAux survey team in the Apple TV series Murderbot based on The Murderbot Diaries series of novels. Alongside other members of the survey team including Gurathin, Pin-Lee helps conduct scientific research for a number of projects. While working with the PreservationAux arm of the Preservation Alliance, Pin-Lee wears a grey uniform including a long sleeve shirt, t-shirt, and vest. They also wear a darker grey pair of pants and dark boots. You can create your costume by layering simple pieces and then add orange accents with dimensional fabric paint.
Gurathin from Murderbot
Dr. Gurathin (portrayed by David Dastmalchian) is a character in the Murderbot TV series based on The Murderbot Diaries books. Gurathin is an augmented human who serves as a scientist on the PreservationAux survey team alongside other members including Pin-Lee. Gurathin is initially distrustful Murderbot. In the show, Dr. Gurathin has dark hair and wears dark nail polish. His uniform consists of a grey long sleeved shirt, grey jumpsuit, and boots. To recreate Gurathin’s jumpsuit, you can either cut the sleeves off a set of coveralls or tuck a vest into a pair of grey pants with a belt to cinch it all together. Add orange details to your chosen costume with fabric paint.
Murderbot
Murderbot (played by Alexander Skarsgard) is the titular security unit in Apple TV’s Murderbot. It is also the narrator of The Murderbot Diaries book series, upon which the series is based. Murderbot is assigned to protect the PreservationAux team including Pin-Lee and Dr. Gurathin. In the series, Murderbot is shown as wearing white, black, and grey armor, with an asymmetrical helmet. To create your costume, you can start with white and grey padded clothing for motorcycle riding. Layer knee pads, chest armor, and forearm guards with gloves over that. For the unique helmet, you can either purchase a black helmet and carefully add details with grey and white paint, or opt for a 3D printed mask instead.
