In the Seinfeld episode “The Wig Master”, Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards) is lent the technicolor dreamcoat from a musical show. He flamboyantly pairs it with a large woman’s hat, walking cane, and pink Cadillac, which lead police to mistakenly conclude that he’s a pimp.

Jerry Seinfeld usually keeps his wardrobe low key until he inadvertently agrees to promote a shirt designed by Kramer’s girlfriend. He’s pressured into wearing “The Puffy Shirt” on The Today Show even though he protests by saying, “But I don’t want to be a pirate!”
