Arthur Ketch (played by David Haydn-Jones) is a British Man of Letters when he first meets Sam and Dean, and is actively working against them and all of the other American hunters.  However, over time, Arthur becomes an ally of the Winchesters, even entering into a romantic relationship with Sam and Dean’s mother, Mary.  Arthur often wears well tailored suits, which sets him apart from the American Men of Letters he later associates with.

Carmilla (played by Jaime Murray in the Castlevania animated series) is the Vampiress Queen of Styria. She was a former general of lord Dracula’s army but by all accounts has become a traitor. She tricked the devil forgemaster Hector into joining her and then held him as her prisoner. She now plots to usurp control over the other vampires and create an army that will force humankind into fear and submission. Carmilla notably has a color scheme of red and gold with long white hair. I recommend using the white mascara in both your eyelashes and eyebrows to complete the vampiric look.

Katara is a teenage girl from the Water Tribe with waterbending abilities. One fateful day, on an outing with her older brother Sokka, she encounters a young boy seemingly trapped inside an iceberg hundreds of times his size. That boy is the Avatar, a master bender of the four elements. Katara and Sokka become his friends and allies, protecting him (and sometimes keeping his natural childishness in check) on a harrowing, three-season adventure. Katara dresses warmly to suit the icy climate she grew up in – to imitate the heavy fur robe she wears, you can add fur trim to the collar and hem of the wrap dress we’ve listed above. Iris West-Allen (played by Candice Patton) is the lifelong love of Barry Allen. She takes on several roles over the course of the show but her drive to tell the truth and deliver justice never change. She is often the person coordinating the team – once she becomes involved – and even takes a turn as a hero in an alternate universe.

When cosplaying Iris, class is the name of the game. She is always well put-together and dresses fashionably in silk blouses and fitted slacks or flowing sundresses and matched sweaters. She wears her hair long and usually down with neatly done classic makeup. Iris also has a preference for stiletto high heels no matter whether she’s in slacks and a blouse or a dress.

In HBO’s Westworld, Bernard Lowe (played by Jeffrey Wright) is the head of Devos’ programming department and has a lot of involvement with the hosts, especially Dolores.  Later in the series, Bernard discovers that he is himself a host and his entire world view is altered.  Bernard typically wears sweater vests and dark suits, and is usually wearing his dark framed glasses.

Musa (voiced by Romi Dames in the English versions and Gemma Donati in the Italian versions) is the Fairy of Music and one of the six core members of the Winx Club. She is also the princess of her home planet Melody. Her boyfriend Riven is a combat student at the Red Fountain school alongside the boyfriends and fiances of several other Winx Club members.

Musa is unique in a few ways. She is one of two fairies to embrace technology as part of her magic. She also has short hair a solid red dress instead of the long hair and two-piece outfits that most of the Winx Club wears. Her color is red, so a red dress and red boots make up her costume. Purple headphones and a purple and around her upper arm – which can be recreated with a ribbon – are her contrasting accessories. Her wings are also blue instead of white and more sleek that most of the other fairies’.

In HBO’s Westworld, Teddy Flood (played by James Marsden) is a host and Dolores’ main love interest early in the series.  His character will often intervene to protect her from guests will nefarious intent, including the Man in Black. Teddy is portrayed mostly as an archetypal chivalrous western hero until Dolores alters his personality to further her own gains, leading to an existential crisis. Teddy’s costume includes a brown cowboy hat, leather holster, and grey suit.

Space Ghost premiered in 1966 as a superhero fighting villains in outer space.  The late night talk show spin-off Space Ghost Coast to Coast launched in the mid-90s and focused on Space Ghost’s interviews with other “superheroes.”  While Space Ghost may have been a good crime fighter, his hosting abilities left a little to be desired, leading to awkward and often hilarious interviews.  To make your Space Ghost costume, you might want to flex some of your creativity by painting his logo onto your white suit.  And don’t forget your index cards, so you can ask insightful questions of your interview subjects.
