Arthur Ketch (played by David Haydn-Jones) is a British Man of Letters when he first meets Sam and Dean, and is actively working against them and all of the other American hunters.  However, over time, Arthur becomes an ally of the Winchesters, even entering into a romantic relationship with Sam and Dean's mother, Mary.  Arthur often wears well tailored suits, which sets him apart from the American Men of Letters he later associates with.
