Carbon Costume Augie Steenbeck from Asteroid City
Augie Steenbeck (played by Jason Schwartzman) is a widower and father of four in the Wes Anderson film Asteroid City. When he and his children are stranded near the titular desert town, Augie calls his father-in-law to pick them up. During their stay in Asteroid City, Augie meets Midge Campbell. Augie's costume includes a belted safari jacket and khaki pants, which he pairs with brown boots. More important than the outfit itself might be Augie's accessories, which include a pipe and a vintage camera. If you don't have a camera that looks the part, a smartphone case designed to look like one can do the trick instead.

It’s NOT just ANY pipe…. it’s a Chacom Reybert 1926 (about $70). It appears to have been restained on account of the fact that while it’s a perfect match …all Chacom Reybert 1926’s I can find are currently BLUE. The 1930 model is the right color, but the bowl is cut differently. I have heard the 1926 once did have a brown release, but I’ve never found one. His lighter is a vintage Nimrod Admiral.
Finally, the camera is actually a Soviet Kiev-4 (about $60+ or much less if it’s not working) with a Jupiter 8 lens. The Kiev 4 is intended to be knockoff of the most expensive Contax camera of the time.
