Harper Spiller (Aubrey Plaza) is a character in The White Lotus. She is a straight-laced lawyer who first appears in season 2. Harper accompanies her husband Ethan to Sicily so he can reconnect with his college roommate Cameron, who brought his wife along as well. A rift forms between the couple when her husband thinks she judges their new friends too harshly. Harper's powder blue dress — and the scene itself — is a nod to Monica Vitti in the 1960 Italian film L'Avventura.
