Scarlett from Papa Louie
Scarlett is the lead singer in the back Scarlett and the Shakers. Along with Marty, Rudy, and Clover, she is not only a rock star but one of Papa Louie’s faithful customers that eventually become his faithful employees.
To get Scarlett’s look start with a red wig and tie it back with a black tied headband. White heart earrings and a black leather belt are her only accessories. Getting the rest of her look, though, requires a little DIY. You can use red fabric pain to add hearts around the hem of a white denim vest and white fabric paint to add dashes around the sleeves of a black t-shirt. A red long sleeve shirt finishes off her layered tops while black and red check pants pair with black sneakers and red laces to complete the overall look. Just add a microphone and you’re good to go!
Ashley from WarioWare
Ashley (most recently voice by Erica Lindbeck) is a witch-in-training that largely appears in the Wario games. She makes a few appearances in other Nintendo franchises like Super Smash Bros. but for the most part she is a character in Wario minigames. Her interests are almost solely related to becoming a better witch while her demon friend, Red, takes care of most everything else.
Cosplaying as Ashley is thankfully more straight-forward than her magic spells are! You need a long black wig that you style into pigtails. A little orange ha and an orange neck scarf with a skull brooch act as accessories while a red dress, black tights, and red shoes make up the outfit. A little stuffed demon finishes off the costume as your very own Red!
Iris West-Allen from The Flash
Iris West-Allen (played by Candice Patton) is the lifelong love of Barry Allen. She takes on several roles over the course of the show but her drive to tell the truth and deliver justice never change. She is often the person coordinating the team – once she becomes involved – and even takes a turn as a hero in an alternate universe.
When cosplaying Iris, class is the name of the game. She is always well put-together and dresses fashionably in silk blouses and fitted slacks or flowing sundresses and matched sweaters. She wears her hair long and usually down with neatly done classic makeup. Iris also has a preference for stiletto high heels no matter whether she’s in slacks and a blouse or a dress.
Musa from Winx Club
Musa (voiced by Romi Dames in the English versions and Gemma Donati in the Italian versions) is the Fairy of Music and one of the six core members of the Winx Club. She is also the princess of her home planet Melody. Her boyfriend Riven is a combat student at the Red Fountain school alongside the boyfriends and fiances of several other Winx Club members.
Musa is unique in a few ways. She is one of two fairies to embrace technology as part of her magic. She also has short hair a solid red dress instead of the long hair and two-piece outfits that most of the Winx Club wears. Her color is red, so a red dress and red boots make up her costume. Purple headphones and a purple and around her upper arm – which can be recreated with a ribbon – are her contrasting accessories. Her wings are also blue instead of white and more sleek that most of the other fairies’.
Aisha from Winx Club
Aisha (voiced by Keke Palmer in the English versions and Laura Lenghi in the Italian versions) is one of the six core members of the Winx club. She is also the Fairy of Waves and the princess of her home planet Andros. Aisha is loyal, clever, and a fantastic friend the rest of the Winx club.
To cosplay as Aisha you will want to lean into the color green. Her most common form as a fairy is white wings, a green halter top, green skirt, and green boots. She has long brown hair that she wears down. Like the rest of the Winx club she has countless outfits which is unusual for most animated shows. But this outfit is one of her most iconic fairy look.
For her more human look you can go with the same wig then change the glittering green of her fairy form for a pink spaghetti strap top, green denim skirt, white leg warmers, and green boots.
Queen Frostine from Candyland
Queen Frostine is the benevolent queen of Candy Land. She is the wife of King Fudge and the mother of Princess Lolly. And though her costume appears simple, it is unique enough that getting it just right will take a little bit of DIY to bring the right details to your basic blue ballgown.
If you can find a scalloped skirt or apron to wear over your ballgown, then you don’t need the scalloped fabric. For those using the fabric, however, a little bit of double-sided tape will keep the material in place during your event or while you add safety pins for extra stability. Then when you’re done, you can remove the material the ballgown is back to a solid basic garment you can use with other cosplays!
Clifford DeVoe / The Thinker from The Flash
Clifford DeVoe (played by Neil Sandilands) was a professor and researcher who augmented himself with a device that increased his intelligence. While his intelligence increased, however, his body began to deteriorate. This ultimately put him in a wheelchair which he altered to be a sort of base for his power.
Altering a wheelchair – particularly a power chair as DeVoe uses when he is The Thinker – is a large undertaking. So too is making the specialty headgear that makes up his costume. An easier way to cosplay him is to dress as he did before becoming The Thinker and then use a few costume cybernetic pieces to show DeVoe’s transition into being The Thinker.
The piece pictured above is technically a piece for a Borg costume which means it can be reused in other costumes as well. Otherwise all you need are dress shoes, slacks, a button up, and a tie as well as a wheelchair if you choose to cosplay that point if DeVoe’s development.
Kris from Deltarune
Kris is the main character from Toby Fox’s game Deltarune. They are the human Hero of Light and the leader of their group, though that is only once they fall into the dark world. Before that, though, Kris is a kind but quiet person that some mistake for awkward or creepy. That does not stop Kris from standing by their friends, though!
There are two costumes you can use if you want to dress as Kris. The first is a pair of black jeans and black high tops with a green pullover. In this form, Kris’ hair is a dark brown. In the dark world, however, Kris has dark blue hair and wears silver armor over a dark blue body suit. The also have a cape in blue and pink that is most easily replicated with a large sheet scarf.
Angel Batista from Dexter
Angel Batista (played by David Zayas) is one of the few people Dexter Morgan would sincerely call a friend. Though Angel is far from perfect he tries to be a good man. He is generally very loyal even when he makes a mistake and his family is often the most important thing in his life. He is also dedicated to his career and does his best to make sure the law is there to protect the people who need it.
Cosplaying as Angel is generally pretty easy but there are two things that any variation on his costume has to have: his goatee and his fedora. You can try and grow your own goatee, draw one on, or use a fake one like that listed above. And though Angel wears several different fedoras, he is rarely seen without one at all.
The rest of his costume is pretty typical for someone who will spend a lot of time outside and in older Miami buildings. A loose-fitting shirt – usually a bowing shirt or Hawaiian shirt – khaki slacks and sturdy but still good-looking shoes that won’t hurt a detective’s feet in the middle of a shift. Add in a detective badge and you’re ready to go!
Rita from Jelly Jamm
In Jelly Jamm, Rita (voiced by many performers depending on location but by Tara Strong on Disney Junior) is one of the adventurous children that lives on Jammbo. She is always eager to try new things which sometimes gets her into trouble. Her friends are usually along for the ride which means more adventures for everyone!
Dressing up as Rita is a very pink experience. You will need a pink wig, tights, gloves, and face paint to mimic her pink skin and hair. You might also have to paint your upper arms if you cannot find long enough gloves. If you go for a full face-paint kit you can use the white and black to paint your eyelids so they resemble Rita’s eyes. Her clothing is simple, consisting of dark pink Mary Janes and a matching dress with a white daisy on the chest.
