Frances Welty from Nine Perfect Strangers
Frances Welty (played by Melissa McCarthy) is a famous romance novelist and one of the Nine Perfect Strangers who attend Masha Dmitrichenko‘s expensive Tranquillum retreat. Frances finds herself at Tranquillum after suffering several personal and professional embarrassments, and while initially quite closed off, she soon grows close with a few of the other attendees including Tony Hogburn. Frances wears many glamorously bohemian outfits and jumpsuits, so opt for light, flowy fabrics and don’t be afraid to layer different pieces together to achieve her look.
Masha Dmitrichenko from Nine Perfect Strangers
Masha Dmitrichenko (played by Nicole Kidman) is the enigmatic creator of Tranquillum, an expensive wellness retreat that promises its guests powerful transformation, in the Hulu mini series Nine Perfect Strangers. Masha, originally from Russia, immigrated to the United States where she became a powerful CEO. However, after she is shot and clinically dead for several minutes, Masha’s outlook on life is totally altered and she sets out to help others achieve freedom from their grief and other emotional issues. Masha is a tall, thin woman with long blonde hair. She favors all white ensembles that highlight her ethereal persona and sports a large scar at the center of her chest, a reminder of her brush with death.
GGK from Carole and Tuesday
GGK (voiced in Japanese by Misaki Kuno and in English by Mela Lee with singing vocals by Madison McFerrin) is a character in the anime series Carole and Tuesday. GGK is an eccentric contestant on the Mars’ Brightest talent show, claiming to be a vessel through which the universe itself sings. During her performances, her all black costume shimmers like it’s part of the fabric of the universe, while she claims the red dot on her forehead is actually her third eye.
Mare Sheehan from Mare of Easttown
Marianne “Mare” Sheehan (played by Kate Winslet) is the small town detective at the heart of HBO’s limited series Mare of Easttown. Set in a small Philadelphia suburb, the show focuses on Mare as she investigates the murder of a local girl. Mare’s wardrobe consists of pieces designed to keep her warm while she works in a variety of outdoor locations, including several coats and a lot of flannel, with comfortable and sturdy jeans.
Alex Morrow from The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers
Alex Morrow (played by Lauren Graham) is Evan‘s mom in the Disney channel series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. After her son is cut from the Ducks, she and her son set out to start their own hockey team where everyone is welcome to play. With the help of Gordon Bombay, she and the Don’t Bothers have fun and learn that winning isn’t everything. Alex works at a law firm, and as such, is often seen wearing sensible but well-cut clothes. At the rink, her style is more relaxed and she dons an array of cozy jackets and warm hats to shield herself from the chill of the ice.
Evan Morrow from The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers
When Evan Morrow (played by Brady Noon) is let go from the Might Ducks hockey team, he and his mom Alex set out to start a new squad in the Disney channel series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. When they start practicing at the local Ice Palace, former Ducks coach Gordon Bombay slowly takes an interest in the team and helps coach them to the finals. Evan’s hockey uniform for the Don’t Bothers consists of standard hockey equipment and a yellow jersey. While it’s not practical to wear a pair of skates or padded pants all night, some wind breaker pants and fun printed socks can help evoke the spirit of the costume.
Dr. Lily Houghton from Jungle Cruise
Dr. Lily Houghton (played by Emily Blunt) is a scientist in search of the Tears of the Moon in the Disney film Jungle Cruise. Along with her brother McGregor Houghton, Lily contracts with skipper Frank Wolff to safely transport then through the jungles of South America to find a tree with special blooms that could help cure disease. Lilly wears wide legged pants that she rolls at the bottoms to accommodate her sturdy boots. She also favors teal and blue button downs pared with a bandana and wide belt.
Frank Wolff from Jungle Cruise
Frank Wolff (played by Dwayne Johnson) is a boat captain and one of the main characters of the Disney film Jungle Cruise. Frank teams up with Dr. Lily Houghton and her brother McGregor Houghton to search for the mysterious Tree of Life in the jungles of South America. Frank wears a tan Captain’s hat and khakis, with a striped shirt and vest. Gordon Bombay (played once more by Emilio Estavez) is the former coach of the Mighty Ducks who returns in the Disney series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. By the time Gordon meets Alex Morrow and her son Evan, he’s long since left the world of coaching behind. But when Alex and Evan form a new hockey team after the Mighty Ducks cut Evan from the squad, Gordon finds himself slowly pulled back in by his love of hockey. Gordon’s outfits are conducive to working at the Ice Palace, including work gloves and warm flannel shirts. Just don’t forget your notebook for writing down imaginative hockey plays!
Rosemary “Rose” Winters from Resident Evil Village
Rosemary “Rose” Winters (voiced in English by Jeannie Tirado) is an American superhuman and a character in the Resident Evil Village video game. The daughter of Ethan and Mia Winters, Rose’s body is comprised completely of Mold, a fungal superorganism capable of replicating human DNA. Rose wears sturdy sneakers, a pair of distressed jeans, and her late father’s jacket. She also carries a book called Village of Shadows that her parents used to read to her.
