Charles-Haden Savage (played by Steve Martin) is a main character on the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building.  Charles is an actor most well-known for playing a hard-boiled detective named Brazzos on the show of the same name. He teams up with fellow true-crime junkies Oliver and Mabel to solve a murder in the Arconia, the apartment building where they all live, and start a podcast in the process.  Charles dresses well, with simple but classic pieces.  His style is much less eccentric than his co-hosts and the most prominently recognizable feature of his wardrobe are his pork pie and the glasses he wears.  If you mix some crisp jeans with a nice sweater layered over a button-down, you'll be good to go.
