On The Strain, Dutch Velders (Ruta Gedmintas) is a streetwise internet hacker who worked for Eldritch Palmer's company. She later learns that her work allowed the vampire strain to take hold of New York City, and joins Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, Professor Setrakian, and Vasilly Fet in the fight to save the city. Her clothing is typical of an underground hacker, though she always wears a considerable amount of jewelry and heavy, black eye makeup.
