Larry Johnson from Sally Face
Larry Johnson is a character in the indie horror video game Sally Face. He is Sal’s best friend, and later on, he becomes his stepbrother. Larry is generally laid back, but he’s shown to be protective of his friends. His clothes remain the same as a teenager and as an adult, yet are tattered as a young ghost. Use the black eye pencil to line under your eyes and draw the mole on your left cheek.
Captain Charlie from Pikmin 3
Captain Charlie is one of the three playable characters in Pikmin 3, alongside Brittany and Alph. Captain Charlie has a brown mohawk and thin mustache, and wears a white suit with green details and matching gloves. Taking a little time with a pair of white coveralls and shoe covers can really help personalize the look. Use some green paint to create the green panel at the front of his suit, and even add green to the soles of the shoe covers. Don’t forget to add his yellow star badge. If you don’t want to grow a mustache like Captain Charlie’s, a brown eyebrow pencil can achieve a similar effect.
P2 from “Stop Drop Roll” in Just Dance 2022
In the music video for Ayo & Teo’s “Stop Drop Roll” in Just Dance 2022, P2 represents Yamirami. He’s a dancer dressed in urban hip-hop wear, including a red jaguar print jacket and black baggy pants. He wears two gold chains, and yellow sunglasses and a yellow glove on his left hand to match.
Carlos Oliveira from Resident Evil 3 Remake
Carlos Oliveira (voiced by Vince Corazza) was a Corporal in the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service and a survivor of the Raccoon City Destruction Incident in the video game remake of Resident Evil 3. In the remake, Carlos gets an upgraded look from his original costuming. His updated apparel includes a more realistic look with a dark army green tactical vest and pants, black boots and matching fingerless gloves.
Scott Pilgrim from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game
In Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World: The Game, Scott Pilgrim must battle the seven evil exes of Ramona Flowers, including Todd Ingram, following the plot of the comic book and movie. After the game was released in 2010 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, it was pulled from the shelves until its re-release this year to much fanfare.
Lord Malak from Dark Deception
Do you like mazes? Do you like horror games? If you answered yes to both questions, then “Dark Deception” is for you. Players must navigate a maze of nightmarish horrors, all orchestrated by the vile Lord Malak. If players can collect enough Soul Shards, they are allowed to return to the world of the living. Lord Malak won’t make it easy, though. It’s his game, his maze, and his monsters. And he’d rather the player stay right where they are.
Lord Malak’s costume is fairly simple, though it does require some body paint. Red body paint gives you his demonic pallor while horns on a headband rounds out the look. Black gloves match a black suit, black shirt, black shoes, and a black button down shirt while a dark red tie stands out as his one accessory.
Nabbit from Super Mario U Deluxe
Nabbit (voiced by Natsuka Yokoyama) is probably one of the best-named characters in the world of Mario. A rabbit who nabs things, Nabbit slips into Toad houses and makes off with their things, though his heavy bag usually gets in his way. He might not be the nicest guy but he’s still a fun playable character in certain games and he makes for a great costume.
Creating a Nabbit cosplay takes a little bit of DIY. The first step is to glue two white felt circles to the front edge of the hoodie’s hood, then gluing a black circle over the top of either white circle. The felt circles are self-adhesive but the fabric glue will ensure they won’t fall off. You can also use the fabric flue to adhere the rabbit ears to the top of the hood.
Next, use the fabric markers to make Nabbit’s mouth on the white bandana. After that it’s just a matter of putting all the pieces together! Just do yourself a favor and don’t try to act out Nabbit’s exploits. It’ll probably go even worse than it does for Nabbit.
“Think About Things” Elf from Just Dance 2022
In Just Dance 2022, Daði Freyr’s pop song “Think About Things” is accompanied by a music video featuring a dancing holiday elf named Flake. The elf wears a blue outfit, with a single green glove and mismatched shoes. We opted for royal blue rather than the more accurate light blue since items are easier to source in this color. Add faux fur trim to your sweater and pants, and you’re ready to dance.
