In Pixar's Soul, Joe Gardner (voiced by Jamie Foxx) is a middle school music teacher who has a lifelong dream of being an onstage jazz performer. It looks like he'll finally get his big break when he impresses other jazz musicians as an opening act when he has an accident, which causes his soul to separate from his body to get transported to the You Seminar, where he must help souls develop passions before being transported to newborns. Joe's costume is drab and not too flashy, although his stylish hat hints at the passion brimming underneath.
