Hans Gruber from Die Hard
In the classic action movie Die Hard, Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) is a German terrorist who takes over Nakatomi Tower in Los Angeles with his crew in order to steal hundreds of millions of dollars in bearer bonds. Gruber’s plans are foiled by NYPD detective John McClane who is attending a holiday party in an attempt to repair his relationship with his estranged wife. Hans wears a dark suit, shows off an impressive American accent, and communicates with his team (and McClane) with walkie talkies thorughout the film.
Agatha from The Grand Budapest Hotel
In The Grand Budapest Hotel, Agatha (played by Saoirse Ronan) is a talented apprentice baker with a distinctive birthmark on her right cheek. Agatha works at Mendl’s and is Zero’s girlfriend. She and Zero help Gustave escape from prison by hiding tools in the baked goods that she makes for him. Agatha wears a khaki colored dress with light blue apron while she creates her delicate confections.
Carol Danvers from Captain Marvel
Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) is the human-Kree hybrid superhero known as Captain Marvel. She was a US Air Force test pilot before exposure to alien technology changed her DNA. Now she is a powerful superhero with a strong will, a confident personality, and a great sense of fashion. This movie-inspired look taps into ’90s grunge with a white Nine Inch Nails t-shirt, high waited jeans, and some great leather accessories.
John Ambrose McClaren from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before 2
John Ambrose McClaren (played by Jordan Fisher) is Lara Jean Covey’s newest love interest in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before: P.S. I Still Love You. An intelligent and caring former classmate, John Ambrose volunteers at the same nursing home as Lara Jean. Whether he is hosting the Star Ball in a white tux or bringing pizzas to hangout with his friends (which irritates Lara Jean’s boyfriend, Peter), John Ambrose is always dressed to impress with a winning smile and attitude.
Brad Majors from Rocky Horror Picture Show
“Say, do any of you guys know how to Madison?” Brad Majors, known as Brad or “a-hole,” is a nerdy all-American guy. He is engaged to Janet Weiss, proclaiming his love for her in the musical number “Dammit Janet.” When his car gets a flat tire, they go to Frank N Furter’s mansion, having no idea what bizarre chaos will ensue. He is portrayed by Barry Bostwick in the 1975 film.
Peter Kavinsky from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before 2
Peter Kavinsky (played by Noah Centino) has some competition in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before: P.S. I Still Love You. When a former classmate, John Ambrose, responds to one of Lara Jean Covey’s letters, his relationship with her becomes a little complicated. Peter is a popular student who plays lacrosse for his high school, and his style is casual and comfortable, but trendy. While he does not prioritize his fashion sense in the same way as Lara Jean, he does his best to look good for their first date. Always thoughtful, he brings flowers for his girlfriend when he picks her up for dinner, and recites poetry to her on Valentine’s Day.

“Toucha-toucha-touch me!” Janet Weiss, also known as Janet or “slut,” starts as a demure, feminine character. She is engaged to Brad Majors. During her time at Frank N Furter’s mansion, she develops feelings for Rocky, the creation. By the end of the film, she admits “her confidence has increased” as a newly promiscuous woman.
Lara Jean Covey from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before 2
In To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before 2: P.S. I Still Love You, Lara Jean Covey (played by Lana Condor) finds herself having to choose between her dreamy boyfriend Peter Kavinsky and a new love interest who responds to one of her original letters, John Ambrose. While much of Lara’s signature vintage-infused style is seen in the film, she also gets to dress up more for some exciting events including her first date with Peter, a traditional Korean New Year celebration, and a ball she and John Ambrose throw at the nursing home where they both volunteer.
