Carbon Costume

In Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!, Coco Diablo (voiced by Myrna Velasco) is a fashionable costume maker who sells her work to criminals with ill intentions, even those dedicated to taking down Shaggy and the gang. Coco develops a soft spot for Velma, who harbors a crush in return. This makes the notion that Velma is queer officially canon.

Barrel, voiced by Danny Elfman, is part of the trio of antagonistic Trick or Treaters in the 1993 movie The Nightmare Before Christmas, along with Lock and Shock.

He is presumably the youngest out of the group, and has pale blueish tinted skin, wide eyes with black and purple-red smearing around them surrounding black pupils, turquoise lips, and slicked back wavy green hair.

Barrel wears a costume similar in build to Lock’s, with it essentially being pajamas, but his are greyish or purple (depending on the version) with white stand-out bone detailing on both the shirt and pants. In line with the other two, he also has a trick or treating mask, with his being a white skeleton face that mimics his own.

Gwen Blake (played by Madeleine McGraw) is the sister of Finney Blake in The Black Phone.  Gwen experiences psychic dreams that shed light on The Grabber and his previous victims.  Gwen wears a variety of 70s-inspired fashion choices, often favoring hues of red and yellow that run the spectrum.  When recreating some of her looks, remember it’s okay to be a little interpretive, since it’s unlikely you’ll find exact copies of these vintage fashions.  For her pinafore dress, you can look for one with similar colors or patterns to layer over your turtleneck.  If your hair isn’t long enough to braid, a brown wig can be fashioned into pigtails instead.

Shock, voiced by Catherine O’Hara, is part of the trio of antagonistic Trick or Treaters in the 1993 movie The Nightmare Before Christmas, along with Lock and Barrel.

She has pale green tinted skin, black eyes, stringy and curly deep turquoise hair with the same color around her eyes, and lighter turquoise on her lips.

Shock has a typical sort of witch costume, with a dusty purple hat with a ribbon, a dress of about the same color depending on the version (Kingdom Hearts has a lighter pinkish dress instead) with a darker purple trim around the collar, hem, and sleeves, and wears a green witch mask to go with her costume.

She has what appears to be grey gloves on, and what looks like black thigh high boots (you can probably go with just regular witch boots instead, with the tights listed above, and have the same effect).

J. Worthington Foulfellow, better known as Honest John (voiced by Keegan-Michael Key), is an anthropomorphic fox and con artist in the 2022 live-action remake of Pinocchio.  Honest John is charismatic as can be, and eventually convinces Pinocchio to join Stromboli after trapping Jiminy Cricket in a jar so he can’t intervene.  Honest John’s outfit is a hodgepodge of different elements.  First, you’ll need plaid pants and a red jacket as well as a blue and gold shawl fashioned like a cape with a gold chain to hold it in place.  Though your first instinct may be to get brown plaid dress pants, a pair of pajama bottoms may better emulate the bagginess of Honest John’s movie look.  You’ll also need a fox mask, tail, and slippers to pair with your outfit.  The finishing touches include a top hat, cane, and white gloves with ruffled cuffs.

Lock, voiced by Paul Reubens, is part of the trio of antagonistic Trick or Treaters in the 1993 movie The Nightmare Before Christmas, along with Shock and Barrel.

He has pale off-white skin, yellow sclera eyes with black pupils, red hair slicked back and styled up into devil horns at his forehead, and his teeth are sharp even outside of the mask.

Lock has turquoise blue lips, eyes shaded with red and purple on each lid, he wears a long sleeved red pajama set, matching red pointed devil shoes, has either yellowed hands or gloves, and a red, presumably real, devils tail. He also has a matching stylized devil mask that mimics his face and head shape, to match the other two’s themed masks.

The Prince, played by Joey King, is one of the unsuspectingly key players in the new 2022 action comedy movie, Bullet Train.

Her general appearance is meant to portray that of an innocent young girl in order to not seem involved with the rest of the gritty details going on in the rest of the train, so the majority of her outfit is done in soft pinks and reds.

She has brown shoulder length hair that’s parted to the side, with a red x hairclip keeping the longer side out of her face, greyish blue eyes, thick eyeliner and mascara, pink lipstick, and matching pink nails.
Her outfit consists of a peach pink silk short sleeved button up shirt, a coral silk tie, a deep pink sweater vest, a red pleated skirt, white ankle socks, black sneakers, a baby pink winter coat over the whole ensemble, and she has a gold watch and gold rings on her wrist and hands.

Jame Dale (played by Jack Nicholson) is the ill-fated President of the United States when aliens invade Earth in the sci-fi comedy Mars Attacks!  President Dale believes the Martians to be rational and seeks to make first contact in a bid for peace, a plan which quickly goes awry.  President Dale dresses as most Presidents–in dark suits.  He wears several different ties throughout the movie, but you can’t go wrong with something vaguely patriotic or merely striped.  If you don’t quite have his distinguished hairline, an old man wig can do the trick.  Less noticeable than his widow’s peak, President Dale sports a wedding band, gold watch, and a signet ring.
