Viago from What We Do in the Shadows

Viago is a main character in What We Do In The Shadows, a horror mockumentary about the lives of four vampires. His full name is Viago Von Dorna Schmarten Scheden Heimburg (né von Blitzenberg) and he is 379 years old. As suggested by his clothes, he lived in the 18th century. He traveled to New Zealand to find his true love, Katherine. He’s the most endearing vampire in the group, but he can be uptight, especially when it comes to keeping the house clean. Not only did Taika Waititi write and direct the film, but he stars as Viago himself.

Elsa from Jojo Rabbit

While exploring the attic in his home, a German boy named Jojo Betzler discovers that his mother Rosie has rescued a young Jewish woman from the horrors of the Holocaust. (Granted, Jojo is rather oblivious to the whole thing, having been quite propagandized by the Nazi party’s youth movement.) When he first meets Elsa Korr (Thomasin McKenzie), she’s emaciated and barefoot, but she hasn’t lost her wit, spunk, or spirit. She goes so far as to steal his pocket knife and set him straight on some unfortunate stereotypes!

We give you two outfits: his work outfit and his yacht outfit. We included the Ralph Lauren Polo for accuracy, but it can be pricey, so any white polo will do.

Zorro

Zorro

Brought to life on the screen by the likes of Antonio Banderas and Tyrone Powers, Johnston McCulley’s fictional masked hero has enchanted readers and moviegoers alike for over one hundred years. Zorro (born Don Alejandro de la Vega) is a skilled acrobat and swordsman. You’ll know only after the fact that he saved the day when you find the villains’ bodies sliced with three cuts, forming the letter Z — the mark of Zorro.

Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

In The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Lisbeth Salander (played by Claire Foy, Rooney Mara, and Noomi Rapace in different adaptations of Stieg Larsson’s book) is a sort of antihero. She is more than willing to take down the big bad guys of the world and she’s not shy about getting her hands dirty to do it. But she’s also aggressive, untrusting, and often seen as rude. And after everything she’s been through who can blame her?

No matter the movie version of Lisbeth you prefer, the character dresses all in black. They all have black leather jackets and ride motorcycles which means their black boots are very sensible. Black jeans, black t-shirts, and black makeup are also regular parts of her costume. A black scarf and black spiked choker are also part of the costume that would be most widely recognized in America, as well as black hair cut asymmetrically or spiked into a mohawk.

Samuel Brett from Alien

Samuel Brett (played by Harry Dean Stanton) was the engineering technician aboard the USCSS Nostromo in Alien. Brett was one of the first to fall to the Xenomorph while repairing the ship. Brett is one of the blue-collar workers aboard the ship. He feels overworked and underpaid for his skilled trade and is constantly asking Dallas for a raise. Brett sports a messy loosely buttoned Hawaiian shirt which makes his character memorable despite his short time on screen.

Arthur Koblenz Dallas From Alien

Arthur Koblenz Dallas (played by Tom Skerritt) is the captain of The USCSS Nostromo in Alien. Dallas was brash in making decisions and ultimately made choices that fatally harmed the group and himself. Dallas’s western style work jacket is his most identifiable characteristic.

Lestat de Lioncourt from Interview with a Vampire

Lestat de Lioncourt from Interview with the Vampire

Lestat de Lioncourt (played by Tom Cruise in the movie Interview with a Vampire) is a French-born vampire. Turned sometime around the French Revolution He did not want to be turned and was not warned prior to either his turning or the death of the vampire that made him what he was. As such he didn’t have much knowledge of wider vampire customs and culture until after he had already turned Louise and, later, Claudia.

He has a volatile temper that flares when his lust for earthly delights is denied. His character is tempered later by knowledge and maturity. But in the first film he is very much a pleasure seeker tired of seeking out thrills alone. And when he is challenged, the results are always destructive.

In life and undeath Lestat is a fashionable man. He wears his long wavy hair either down or back in a bun. Per the fashion of his time he wears a billowing white shirt, a brocade wist coat, a frock coat, knee high white socks, knee breeches, and buckle shoes. And, of course, his costume would not be complete without a pair of fangs.

Although confused, Queen Lillian accepts her transformation and marriage to Shrek, as she values her daughter’s happiness. In the third movie, following the death of the king, she becomes more determined and independent. It’s revealed Fiona inherited her fighting skills from her mother, as she helps the damsels in distress fight for themselves. The role is voiced by famous actress Julie Andrews. To style the wig, tease the bangs and sweep them to either side. Secure the bottom of the wig into the gold hair net and set with hairspray.

Shiloh from Repo! The Genetic Opera

Shiloh from Repo! The Genetic Opera

Shiloh Wallace (played by Alexa Vega) is the 17, almost 18-year-old daughter of Nathan Wallace in Repo! The Genetic Opera. Her father tells her she has a rare blood condition and, for this reason, she has been shut away most of her life. But after 18 years of confinement, she is hitting her rebellious streak and wants to be set free. She’s sly enough to sneak out of the house but naive about the world as she discovers what lays beyond the gates of her home. Like most of the world, she dresses in a Goth fashion. Her cameo necklace is unique, however, in that it represents her mother who died when Shiloh was born. She wears the cameo in some form throughout all her outfits, usually as a choker.
