Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) is a character in 2021's The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn. He served as a colonel in the U.S. Army as well as a special operations forces specialist. In the first Suicide Squad (2016), he led Task Force X and a team of Navy Seals to defeat Enchantress. His success allowed him to continue in the leadership position with a new team. Five years later, their mission is to go to Corto Moltese to destroy Jotunheim, and then execute Project Starfish. However, this was actually a cover-up for a government mistake. Peacemaker was a spy on the inside, and he murders Flag in attempt to complete the mission.
