Carbon Costume

Omar (voiced by Zeno Robinson) is a character on the Cartoon Network animated series Craig of the Creek.  Once known as the Green Poncho, Omar protected the Overpass.  Eventually, he joined the Stump Kids.  Omar is friends with Craig Williams.  Omar’s Green Poncho costume consists of a large bow, sandals, and a green hooded jacket.

Lincoln Loud (currently voiced by Asher Bishop) is the main character of the Nickelodeon cartoon series The Loud House.  As the middle child (and only boy) in the Loud family, Lincoln has ten sisters and is a fan of manga, comics, and video games.  Lincoln has white hair and sports an overbite with a chipped tooth, which you can recreate with a little patience and some costume tooth wax.  His clothing consists of jeans, an orange shirt, and white sneakers with red stripes.

Kazyua Kinoshita is a main character in the Rent-A-Girlfriend manga series. Illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, it has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and complied into twenty one volumes. Indecisive yet kind, he is a twenty years old college student who lives in Tokyo. After breaking up with his girlfriend, he decides to use an online dating service. He then rents a girlfriend named Chizuru. Now he has to continue renting her to keep up appearances, but he eventually develops romantic feelings. Kayuza later works at a karaoke bar to pay for their dates. A notable characteristic is his love for marine biology and aquariums. In fact, one of his many pet fish provides commentary in the manga.

Mr Saito (played by Ken Watanabe) is the head of Proclus Global in the film Inception.  A rich and powerful man, Saito is originally targeted by Cobb and Arthur.  However, once Saito realizes he is in a dream, he seeks to recruit them for a job of his own.  In the opening dream sequence, Saito wears a tuxedo that combines traditional Japanese garments with more Western silhouettes.  A similar look can be achieved by using the top portion of a nagajuban or a hanjuban undergarment.  Either way, it is best to choose one with pleats or grey details to best exemplify Saito’s costuming.

Iceman is a hero in the Marvel comics in affiliation with the X-Men as well as Spiderman. His real name is Robert Louis Drake. He is a mutant with the powers to manipulate ice by freezing water vapor. He can also turn his body into ice. Iceman is notable for being openly gay in the more recent X-Men comics. Sew the X-Men logo patch onto the sleeve of the leather jacket. You can use the pale blue face paint on your hands or get a pair of light blue gloves. Bob Dylan…. Where to begin? The first time I heard Bob Dylan sing, I wondered why he sounded like John Lennon. Turns out, John Lennon wanted to sing like Bob Dylan! The songwriter-poet-renaissance man is an icon of sixties culture and music, known for his blue-collar work shirt and blue jeans, and songs like “Mr. Tambourine Man.”

Honda Kiku, also known as Japan, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. Japan is a reserved, yet hard-working individual. He isn’t fond of socializing, especially with strangers. He is close to Germany and Italy as part of the Axis Powers, and he also gets along with Greece. However he has sour relationships with China and Korea. His usual companion is a Shiba Inu named Pochi.

Chuck Greene (voiced by Peter Flemming) is a former motocross champion, a widower, and a father that will do whatever it takes to protect his daughter. Sometimes that involves fighting off the undead. Sometimes it involves things a little crazier. Chuck has the skills to handle it, though. And for as long as he can, he’s going to keep his daughter safe.

Chuck Greene is a great cosplay for those who want to be comfortable. He wears black boots, blue jeans, and a motocross jacket in yellow and black. His weapon of choice is the Paddlesaw (when he can’t ride a Slicecycle) but those aren’t exactly easy to make. A kayak paddle is a good start to one, though!
