Tigger
Tigger is a character from the children’s books written by A.A. Milne and the Disney animated franchise. Often referring to himself in the third person, Tigger loves to bounce on his long, springy tail. While Tigger is optimistic and confident, he can also be reckless and mischievous. His theme song is “The Wonderful Thing about Tiggers.” He is friends with Winnie the Pooh. There are a few ways to style an outfit inspired by this energetic character. You can lean more toward cosplay with the tiger ears and tail, wear orange and black stripes, or get cozy in a onesie. This guide includes masculine and feminine options, but feel free to wear what’s comfortable for you!
Moo Deng
Moo Deng is a two-month old female pygmy hippo. She lives in a zoo in Thailand. This costume guide features a few options to dress up as Moo Deng: a casual version with the hat/sweater/pants, a onesie, and a full costume suit.
Wilson P. Higgsbury from Don’t Starve Together
Wilson is the main protagonist of both Don’t Starve, and Don’t Starve Together, published by Klei. While he has been voiced in some of the shorts, he technically doesn’t have a canonical voice, according to the team.
He is a scientist and the first character you are able to play at in base game. We’re still learning how Wilson properly ties into the full story, but an old lab, a skeleton in the attic, and a general begrudging trust with a certain stage magician may make it a lot clearer soon.
Wilson has black hair that is styled up into an exaggerated ‘W’ shape (as all but one of the characters has a ‘W’ name), and matching colored eyes. For his base outfit he wears a white button up shirt, with a red and black striped vest over top, and fitted black pants. It is finished off with black shoes, and depending on who is drawing him for the shorts, either fingerless gloves, arm sleeves, or full on black gloves (it varies by artist, sometimes they’re just a scribble).
Teenage Chrollo Lucilfer (Manga/Anime) from Hunter x Hunter
This article is going to be covering Chrollo’s appearance as a teenager, if you would like to see the other ones I’ve written for him, please check out his York New disguise, his usual outfit, and him as a child.
When he is 19, he wears his hair down with his bangs flat, instead of parted or slicked back, seemingly not yet having his forehead tattoo. In this scene in the manga, he wears a fairly unidentifiable black semi-collared long sleeve shirt, black pants, and black shoes, while in the anime he’s a bit more dressed up, with the same type of pants and shoes, but he’s exchanged the shirt for a suit jacket and a white button-up shirt. In the anime his hair looks a bit browner than his normal black, but the scene takes place at what looks like sunset, so I went with his regular color just in case.
Troy from High School Musical
Troy is the main character from the early 2000s Disney film High School Musical, and is played by Zac Efron. He is on the basketball team at his school, The Wildcats and is the love interest of Gabriella.
To dress like Troy, wear his basketball jersey with red basketball shorts or a red flannel, white tee, lightwash blue jeans, and a blue bandana tied on your head.
Daisukenojo (Beat) Bito from The World Ends With You
Beat (voiced in Japanese by Subaru Kimura and in English by Crawford Wilson [games]/Van Barr Jr.[anime]) is one of the main characters in The World Ends With You’s anime and game series.
He is the third person that Neku partners with during the Reaper’s Game, and Rhyme‘s older brother. While he is very quick to have combative reactions, he is actually very caring about the people that matter to him.
Beat has light blonde hair that he wears pulled back under a loose dark grey beanie with an enormous skull motif on the front, and blue eyes. He wears two tanktops stacked on each other, a tighter fitting reddish orange one, and a looser white one over top, and muted goldish-yellow capri-like pants with a huge decorative silver chain hanging from his waist. The look is finished off with grey ribbed socks rolled around his ankles, black and red high top sneakers, a silver studded black wristband, and a dark grey chain necklace with a huge skull charm hanging from the end.
Nardwuar
Nardwuar, or Nardwuar the Human Serviette, is an online personality that hosts unique and hilarious celebrity interviews, usually with popular music artists. He also has a signature look, making this a great costume for music lovers.
To dress like Nardwuar, wear a plaid Scottish-style cap that has a pom pom on top, a colorful shirt, and red plaid pants. Carry a press-style microphone and wear glasses to complete the look.
Dementus from Furiosa
In Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Dementus (Chris Hemsworth) is the warlord who leads the Biker Horde. He abducts a young Furiosa after she’s taken from the Green Place. He wears a teddy bear that’s chained to his body as an accessory, and travels the wasteland on a Roman-style chariot fashioned from three motorcycles.
Hermes from Hadestown
Hermes (originated by André De Shields on Broadway and later played by Stephanie Mills) is the narrator of the musical Hadestown. Hermes weaves the tragic tale of Orpheus and Eurydice through song, even knowing how it ends. Hermes has been played by men and women on stage, making the costume flexible to meet your needs. Focus on shades of silver and grey, and choose a suit and vest or corset that makes you feel like a god.
