Jamie Hughes from Totally Killer

In Totally Killer, Jamie Hughes (Kiernan Shipka) is a rebellious teenage girl whose mother was murdered by a serial killer 35 years ago. As she’s chased by the same killer, she ends up hiding in her best friend’s science fair project, which happens to be a working time machine. She’s transported back to the year 1987. This is when Jamie realizes she has the opportunity to team up with the 16-year-old version of her mother to unmask the killer and change the course of history.

Deadbra Ann from Living Dead Dolls

Deadbra Ann is from the second series of Living Dead Dolls, and has several motif references both in appearance and in her backstory from various Stephen King novels — most notably prom queen Carrie. She is also the first doll in the series to have a face wound.

She has extremely vibrant blue eyes, done up with prom makeup and purple bruising, her mouth is ripped to the side, extending up to the rest of her face, and her hair is a mixed color copper bob. Ann wears a red frilly, lacy, sleeveless prom dress, her nails are painted black, and she has a white silk sash that says Danse Macabre. Her accessories are a white rose bouquet splattered with blood, and an ornate gold crown.

Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw

Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw

In Lollipop Chainsaw, Juliet Starling (voiced by Tara Strong) is a cheerleader who finds herself having to hack and slash her way through zombie hordes at San Romero High School. Luckily she’s armed with a chainsaw. To go all out with this look, you’ll want to include her boyfriend Nick’s severed-but-still-living head to hang on the belt of your costume.

Penny Polendina (Formal Dress) from RWBY

Penny (voiced in English by Taylor McNee and in Japanese by Megumi Han) is an important secondary character in the animated series, RWBY.

This is the formal dress outfit that she wears in the episode ‘Dance Dance Infiltration’ in Volume 2.

Penny has short, bobbed, orange hair, with a large pink hairbow clip at the back, and bright green eyes. We only see a very brief shot of her in this dress, and it’s a bit of a tricky color to match, so I’d recommend very carefully dyeing this white one into a close enough pale green shade. The shoes are a similar color of green, but the chosen ones should match just fine. The dress is finished off with a thin, black band-belt.

Sheena from Living Dead Dolls

Sheena is part of the third series of Living Dead Dolls, and is based of the song ‘Sheena is a Punk Rocker’, made by the Ramones and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She’s also the first doll in the series to have any piercings.

Her hair is dark and closely shaved at the back, with vibrant red middle parted bangs, and her eyes are red sclera with a bright yellow center. She has thick eye makeup, black lipstick, and a silver lip ring, with a matching silver ballchain necklace. The rest of her outfit consists of a black leather jacket over a white shirt, a red leather skirt, black ripped fishnets, black chunky boots with red laces, and she comes with an accessory of a bloody nailbat.

Lucy Dacus from Boygenius: The Film

Boygenius, a band that consists of singers Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker. They recently released their new album The Record and created, as well as starred in, a short film of three music videos directed by Kristen Stewart called The Film. The three songs featured are $20, Emily I’m Sorry, and True Blue. The artists wear similar outfits throughout all three videos, but each are unique to each person. In the final song True Blue, they paint a room completely blue and end up with it on themselves, which can be recreated with fabric paint, acrylic paint, and blue face paint for the skin.

To dress like Lucy Dacus in the video, wear a soft/brushed white sweater with black jeans. She also has blue paint on her clothes at earlier points in the video, so that would be a perfect addition to this costume.

Bride of Valentine from Living Dead Dolls

The Bride is part of the third series of Living Dead Dolls, and is inspired off of the tale of Frankenstein.

She has long black hair with white streaks striped throughout it, mottled shadows around her mismatched blue and black eyes, red lipstick, and facial wounds. Her dress is an off-white strappy dress with blood stains down the torso, her arms and legs are wrapped with bandages, and she wears chunky black lace-up boots. The accessory that she comes with is a realistic looking bloody human heart.

Princess Anna from Frozen (Coronation Dress)

Princess Anna is a character from the popular Disney film Frozen, and is voiced by Kristen Bell. She is the sister of Queen Elsa and they both live in Arendelle. In one scene in this first film, we see Anna and Elsa attend coronation day, where Elsa is to be crowned queen and the gates of their kingdom open for the first time in forever! Anna dresses for the occasion in her iconic green and black dress. Add a black petticoat underneath to give the skirt more volume, and you can even add pantalettes underneath. She wears a necklace with this made out of a ribbon material, black ballet flats, and her hair is braided in an updo, which you can style yourself from your own hair or a wig.

nanno from girl from nowhere

Nanno from Girl from Nowhere

Nanno (played by Kitty Chicha) is the protagonist of the Thai television series Girl from Nowhere.  A mysterious immortal figure, Nanno masquerades as a high school student, exposing the secrets of students and faculty alike.  Nanno wears a few different versions of a high school uniform throughout the series, so you can’t go wrong with a navy pleated skirt and a pale blue button-down shirt of your choice.  Likewise, she wears a few different navy ties, so don’t worry if you can’t find an exact match.  Finish your uniform with a black belt, white socks, and black Mary Jane shoes.  Nanno’s most striking feature is her hair, cut in a long bob with straight across bangs.  Depending on whether you’d like to emulate one of the gorier scenes from the series, you may also need a generous amount of fake blood.

Wigfrid from Don’t Starve Together

Wigfrid is one of the playable characters in the survival horror game series, Don’t Starve.

She’s a former stage star, fully embodying the roll of the Valkyrie character she played to the point where it became the only thing she could do, leaving her other performances imperfect.

Wigfrid is usually seen wearing her stage costume, with her bright red hair tied back into two thick braids, white eyes like a large amount of other DST characters, and a gold toned valkyrie costume, with tan sandals/wraps, metallic bracers, and a viking-esque had with a unicorn at the top.
