Manami Aiba/La Brava from My Hero Academia

La Brava (voiced in Japanese by Yui Horie and in English by Megan Shipman) is one of the secondary antagonists in the My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia series.

She is a powerful hacker and loves Gentle Criminal, which leads to her being his main camerawoman, helping him create a larger online presence so that he’ll be more known as Gentle. Her quirk is love based, which she uses as a booster in fights, to give him a stronger advantage.

La Brava has very long red hair, worn up in two thick pigtails, and has light pink spiral eyes, which match the heart dangle earrings she wears. She wears a matching set of a long dark blue-ish purple top and leggings, the top decorated with pink buttons, with a large white bow worn around her neck, matching gloves with wide cuffs and pink detailing, poofy white striped pants with a heart cutout, a light brown waist corset with pink heart clasps, and black chunky heeled boots.

Miyako Gotokuji from Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z

Miyako Gotokuji (voiced by Nami Miyahara and Marÿke Hendrikse) is one-third of the Powerpuff Girls in Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z.  Miyako is popular at school, often the object of affection for boys in her grade.  She is friends with Momoko and Kaoru, who fight alongside her heroine alter-ego Rolling Bubbles.  Miyako’s crime-fighting costume consists of shades of blue.  You can recreate her look with a blue pleated dress and matching high tops paired with a letterman jacket you’ll need to cut the sleeves off.  Her accessories include a choker necklace, fingerless gloves, and a white belt.  You can add darker accents to her clothing with a fabric marker and use an iron on patch to add the letter “P” to her jacket.

Emerald Haywood from Nope

Emerald Haywood is from the movie Nope by Jordan Peele, and is played by Keke Palmer. Emerald is the sister of OJ Haywood. They both run the company Haywood’s Hollywood Horses. 

Emerald has a very fun and unique style in all of her costumes. She wears lots of cool vintage pieces like graphic tees, cowboy boots, and is not afraid of bright pops of colors. She stands out beside her brother OJ and this shows her outgoing personality in comparison to him.

Rosita (voiced by Reese Witherspoon) is part of the ensemble cast of Sing, an animated film that takes place in a world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals.  A weary mother of many children, Rosita decides to try out for a singing competition organized by koala Buster Moon.  She is chosen for the event, but Buster thinks her act needs a little more pizzazz, so he teams her up with enthusiastic performer Gunter.  Though hesitant at first, Rosita learns to enjoy the spotlight and shines during her performance of Taylor Swift‘s Shake It Off.  To recreate Rosita’s stage look, you’ll need to love all things black and glittery.  Start with a long-sleeved bodysuit and black pumps, then layer a fluffy skirt over top.  You’ll also need a balaclava and you can choose to add a pig nose and glittery cat ears to imitate her animal appearance in the film.  Use a pair of scissors to cut the balaclava and skirt to more closely match her costume from the movie.

Pearl from Pearl (2022)

Pearl is the main character from the A24 film by Ti West, and is played by Mia Goth. Pearl is the origin story of the previous film in West’s series, X.

Pearl is a character that is stuck living and working on her family’s farm in rural Texas. She longs for a glamorous life on the screen, like she sees in the movies and goes killer lengths to attempt to achieve this. Pearl’s usual attire consists of blue overalls, a blue shirt, and lace bows or a blue bandana. When she goes to audition for a film, she wears an all-red dress with puffy sleeves and a large blue denim bow.

Wickerbottom from Don’t Starve Together

Wickerbottom is one of the original playable characters in the survival horror game series, Don’t Starve.

She is a librarian that loves cats, and has an extensive knowledge of a wide variety of topics. This is expanded upon in her short, where she is shown essentially absorbing the entirety of the information in her library.

Wickerbottom has white hair worn up in a tight bun, and beady black eyes, unlike a lot of the other characters. She wears low, rectangular glasses, a yellow patterned button up shirt, a dark red skirt, black tights, and white clog-like shoes.

Olivia Rodrigo is a pop singer/songwriter who started her music career in 2021 with “Driver’s License.” Her debut album, Sour, dominated the pop charts. Off the heels of the recent single “Vampire,” comes “Bad Idea, Right?” The music video features Olivia leaving a party to see her ex, which she contemplates through the lyrics of the song. The promo picture featured Olivia in front of a mirror, with the title written in red lipstick. The music video has 11 million views and over 50 million streams on Spotify. Weiss Schnee (Formal Dress) from RWBY

Weiss (voiced in English by Kara Eberle and in Japanese by  Yōko Hikasa) is one of the main title characters of the animated series RWBY.

This is the formal dress outfit that she wears in the episode ‘Dance Dance Infiltration’ in Volume 2.

Weiss has long white hair, worn up in a side ponytail and topped with a spiked hair piece. She has blue eyes, one with a light scar across it, and she’s wearing long thin bar earrings. Mrs. Puff (played by Abby C. Smith) is a character from Spongebob the Musical.  She is a pufferfish.  As a teacher in Bikini Bottom, Mrs. Puff helps students like SpongeBob SquarePants learn to drive boats as a means of underwater transportation.  In the Broadway musical, Mrs. Puff wears a bright blue jacket with polka dots and a pillbox hat to match.  To recreate her appearance from the stage production, focus on finding a coat in your budget that has a bit of flare to the bottom.  Layer it over a red petticoat skirt and blue and green striped tights.  Mrs. Puff’s accessories include an oversized pearl necklace, teal gloves, and Mary Jane shoes.  Finish the look with blue eyeshadow and red lipstick.
