Chappell Roan from The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess Album Cover
Chappell Roan is a quickly rising singer-songwriter that has a unique style when it comes to her stage costumes. She is inspired by drag and isn’t afraid to go all out glam in her performances. Her fans have taken a love to her style and share their concert-going costumes and outfits online, showing off their creativity by recreating her looks and making their own.
One look that would be great to recreate is from her album cover: The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. To create this look, start with a turquoise blue gown with one-shoulder. Attach various sizes of AB rhinestones or gemstones along the top and over the shoulder. Over this create the white sash by taking a blank white sash and attaching silver rhinestoned letters across it. You can also add rhinestones all over this. Wear your hair up with a small silver tiara. She also wears white gloves with rhinestones covering them. For makeup, use a white powder or foundation with pink blush, and a hint of yellow above that and purple eyeshadow. If you want to carry props, take a pink bouquet of faux flowers and a silver cup trophy.
The Beatles on Abbey Road
Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album from the Beatles. Released in 1969, the album includes hits such as “Come Together” and Here Comes the Sun.” This album cover has become one of the most famous and imitated in music history. In this picture, from left to right: George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and John Lennon. Some of the pieces are interchangeable. For instance, Ringo and John both wear white button downs, and George and John both wear white sneakers.
City Girl’s Celestial Angel
City Girl’s fourth album, Celestial Angel, includes beautiful cover art reminiscent of 90s anime. The city scene takes on an ethereal appearance with the cover character, likely the titular Celestial Angel, hovering off a set of stairs, an otherworldly glow enveloping her as she ascends. The Angel’s appearance includes a blue skirt and puffy-sleeved blouse as well as blue chin-length hair.
Harry Styles on “Fine Line”
Harry Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and actor. He got his start on X-Factor and joined a group of five other contestants. The boys went on to incredible success as the boyband One Direction. After their hiatus/break-up, each of the members embarked on solo musical careers. Harry pursued soft rock route with his debut studio album, Harry Styles. His second, most recent album, Fine Line, has a more upbeat pop feel, with catchy lyrics and a summer feel. It features his biggest hit yet, “Watermelon Sugar.” It broke records as the biggest debut from a British male artist. His outfit on the album’s cover is iconic, capturing a laidback, retro aesthetic. The jewelry and painted nails shows Harry embracing his feminine side.
Enema of the State Nurse
Blink-182’s 1999 release Enema of the State was a runaway success. The album cover features Janine Lindemulder in a scantily clad nurse’s uniform, which probably had something to do with that.
