Young Sheldon Cooper from Young Sheldon
Young Sheldon Cooper (played by Iain Armitage with voiceover from Jim Parsons) is the titular protagonist of the CBS sitcom Young Sheldon. A spinoff of the popular Big Bang Theory, the series focuses on Sheldon Cooper’s childhood in East Texas, where his proclivity for learning and genius intellect are often at odds with his family and peers, including his older brother Georgie. Whereas the elder Sheldon was known for his geeky collection of t-shirts, young Sheldon often favors plaid button-ups and bow ties, making for a fun and comfortable costume. Emily Sweeney (played by Laura Spencer) is a dermatologist who dates Raj Koothrappali on The Big Bang Theory. Emily and Raj meet on a dating website, and she ended up being Raj’s longest lasting relationship on the show. Emily has a strange sense of humor and she is interested in all things horror. Emily has long red hair and often wears skinny jeans tucked into riding or ankle boots.

On The Big Bang Theory, Penny (played by Kaley Cuoco) is the catalyst of the entire series when she moves in across the hall from Sheldon and his roommate Leonard, her eventual husband. Penny’s clothing changes a lot throughout the 12 seasons, which mirrors her career movements as well. Some of her most iconic clothing includes her Cheesecake Factory uniform, the daisy dukes shorts and pink tops she is known for in the early seasons while she is trying to become an actress, and her pink business suit from the series finale after she has established herself as a successful sales rep at a pharmaceutical company.

Dr. Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz (played by Melissa Rauch) is a microbiologist with a lucrative job at a pharmaceutical company. She marries Howard, and the couple have two children by the end of the series. Bernadette is petite and often wears brightly colored sweaters layered over floral print dresses and dark tights.
Professor Proton from The Big Bang Theory
In The Big Bang Theory, Arthur Jeffries, a.k.a. well-known children’s science TV show host Professor Proton (played by Bob Newhart) is a personal hero of Sheldon Cooper and is hired by Sheldon and Leonard Hofstadter to perform a private science show. Though typically seen in a tie and lab coat, Professor Proton also has a recurring appearance in Sheldon’s dreams dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi and offering pertinent life advice.
