Carbon Costume

Saki (voiced in Japanese by Satomi Satō and in English by Jād Saxton) is one of the secondary characters in the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

She has psychic abilities that caused her to be isolated from the rest of her classmates out of fear, until she met Tohru and Uo, who ended up becoming her best friends, despite her trying to push them away for their own sake.

Saki has long black hair that she generally wears in braids, if not just loose, and has greyish purple eyes. When not wearing all black, she wears the blue and white school uniform that her friends do, with black knee high socks, black shoes, and a black jacket worn over top of the sailor top.

Kyo (voiced in Japanese by Yuma Uchida and in English by Jerry Jewell) is one of the primary main characters in the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

He is the cat out of the Sohma’s cursed zodiac line, and lives with Yuki, Shigure, and Tohru. He tends to be argumentative and prone to fighting, but is kinder once he warms up to Tohru. In addition to being the cat, he also has a larger cursed ‘true form’ that he hides from everyone.

Kyo has short, semi-spiky orange hair, and orangey-brown eyes. Like the rest of the characters, he has a large variety of outfits, but for this, I went with his school uniform. It consists of a dark blue shirt with matching slacks, and he wears a yellow shirt underneath. The personal touches he includes are a pair of orange high-tops, and a white/red bracelet that he uses to contain his true form.

Yuki (voiced in Japanese by Nobunaga Shimazaki and in English by Eric Vale) is one of the primary main characters in the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

Out of the cursed zodiacs of the Sohma family, Yuki holds the power of the Rat. He lives with Kyo and Shigure at the start, as well as Tohru when she ends up moving in. Yuki starts off the series being very distant and has a lot of self-esteem issues, despite being regarded as a popular, princely icon at his school, but grows to be more open around the people he cares about.

He has short, silvery hair worn with two long side bangs, and grey eyes. Like Kyo, he’s often seen wearing their school’s uniform, consisting of a set of dark blue slacks and a matching shirt, a light grey tie, and dark brown loafers.

Tohru (voiced in Japanese by Manaka Iwami and in English by Laura Bailey) is the main character of the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

She is one of the few in the main cast of the story that isn’t born into the Sohma family, and simply just meets them by chance when they stumble across her campsite that she mistakenly set up on their property. Tohru ends up living with Kyo, Yuki, and Shigure, in exchange for helping around their house, and takes it upon herself to help them end their family curse.

Tohru has long brown hair, usually worn slightly tied with a variety of colored ribbons (usually pink or yellow), and has brown eyes to match (this was changed from the original anime, where they were blue). Like the others, she’s often seen in her school uniform, which consists of a blue uniform shirt and matching short skirt, black knee high socks, and dark brown loafers.

Momiji (voiced in Japanese by Megumi Han and in English by Mikaela Krantz) is one of the secondary main characters in the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

He is the rabbit out of the Sohma family zodiacs, and is often mistaken for being much younger than he is, despite being only a year younger than Tohru. Momiji is usually seen as a very cheerful person, but he, like a lot of the other Sohmas, has a rough family history.

He has short, fluffy blonde hair, golden brown eyes, and wears small stud earrings as an accessory. Momiji is also usually seen in the school uniform, but he chooses to wear the girl’s shirt portion, and a pair of black shorts, instead of the boy’s. He also wears a pair of white knee high socks, and light brown loafers.

Shigure (voiced in Japanese by Yuichi Nakamura and in English by John Murgmeier) is one of the main characters of the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

He is one of the older members of the cursed zodiacs of the Sohma family, and is specifically the dog. He works as a writer, publishing both novels under his name, and romance novels under a pen name. Tohru, Kyo, and Yuki all live in the house that he owns, and he shares the same drive to break the curse as Tohru does, but for slightly selfish reasons.

Shigure has short, grey hair, parted in the center, and similarly colored eyes. Unlike the others, he usually dresses in more traditional clothing, often shown in a dark green kimono with a lighter colored obi. When wearing this, he usually isn’t shown wearing shoes, but he does have traditional sandals in a similar one, so if you need footwear for con, I’ve included them for ease.

Kisa (voiced in Japanese by Reina Ueda by Kate Bristol) is one of the members of the Sohma family in the anime/manga Fruits Basket).

She is one of the younger members of the zodiac group, being only a year or so older than Hiro, her best friend. Kisa is the tiger of the zodiac, and turns into a cub when she transforms instead of a fully grown tiger, due to her age.

Her hair and eye color vary slightly in shade depending on which form of media she’s in, but in general they are goldish-brown in color (the wig is for another character, but you can just let out the pigtail). She’s mainly seen in her school uniform, which is mainly a white skirt and top with matching tights, but also has blue cuff and collar detailing, with a yellow ribbon. She wears brown loafers with it. (For the uniform, I couldn’t quite find the exact one in colors, but I have included the pieces you’ll need to mod it, if you so choose)

Hiro (voiced in Japanese by Yō Taichi and in English by Luci Christian) is one of the members of the Sohma family in the anime/manga Fruits Basket).

He is the youngest out of the zodiac members, though he tries to act tougher and older than he is. He’s very protective of Kisa and loves her dearly, wanting to become stronger so that he can always keep her safe. Hiro is the Sheep of the zodiacs.

Hiro has messy spiked light brown hair and similarly colored eyes. Like Kisa, we often see him in his school uniform, which consists of a white collared t-shirt with a black ribbon around the collar, black shorts, grey crew socks, and brown boots.
