In Kubo and the Two Strings, Kubo (Art Parkinson) is a young musician with the unearthly ability to transform simple paper into animated origami creations with the power of music. He supports his ailing, widowed mother by entertaining crowds in the marketplace by playing his stringed Shimasen instrument, but he always has to be home before nightfall.
