Dr. Dennis Whitaker from The Pitt
Dr. Dennis Whitaker (played by Gerran Howell) is a fourth year resident in The Pitt. Hailing originally from a farm in Nebraska, Whitaker finds himself saddled with the nickname “Huckleberry” courtesy of Dr. Trinity Santos. He also ends up swapping scrubs multiple times during his first day in the ER after incidents with a bottle of Mylanta which Dr. Samira Mohan is not quick enough to warn him about, and several patients’ bodily fluids. Whitaker begins his day in a set of standard black scrubs, but has to change clothes frequently throughout his long shift, including ending up in a set that’s at least one size too small for him, as well as a pair of blue scrubs typically reserved for staff working in the morgue when no black scrubs in his size are available.
Dr. Trinity Santos from The Pitt
Dr. Trinity Santos (played by Isa Briones) is a first year resident beginning her internship at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center in The Pitt. Santos begins her rotation the same day as several others, but is not quick to make friends, quickly giving snarky nicknames to Drs. Dennis Whitaker and Victoria Javadi. Often sarcastic and brash, Santos is driven and constantly seeking new challenges and experiences. Though she shows a lot of promise, an unfortunate incident with a scalpel and Dr. Yolanda Garcia’s foot proves she still has a lot to learn. Santos wears standard black scrubs over a ringer tee and dark green sneakers. Add a prop scalpul to your costume as a callback to one of the most memorable moments from the series.
Dr. Victoria Javadi from The Pitt
Dr. Victoria Javadi (played by Shabana Azeez) is a third year medical student finishing her rotations in The Pitt. An academic prodigy, Javadi is the daughter of Dr. Eileen Shamsi, who also works at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. She has led a sheltered life and faints during her first procedure in the Pitt, which earns her the unflattering nickname “Crash” from Dr. Trinity Santos. Javadi works hard to distance herself from her mother so she can be evaluated based on her own merit. In addition to the standard black scrubs, she wears a light pink t-shirt underneath and a cropped hoodie over top. She also has a stethoscope, dark grey sneakers, and pulls her hair back with a purple scrunchie.
Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch from The Pitt
Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (played by Noah Wyle) is a Senior Attending Physician at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. Working in the emergency department, also known as The Pitt, Dr. Robby is a dedicated physician who believes patients should come before the hospital’s bottom line, which often leads to tension with Gloria Underwood, the hospital’s Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Robby oversees a team of residents and interns, including Dr. Trinity Santos, Dr. Melissa King, Dr. Dennis Whitaker, and Dr. Victoria Javadi who all start the same day. Dr. Robby wears cargo pants, a black scrub top, and a Beers of the Burgh Festival zip up hoodie.
Dr. Melissa King from The Pitt
Dr. Melissa “Mel” King (played by Taylor Dearden) is a second year resident who joins the emergency department also known as The Pitt at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. Mel did a previous rotation at a VA hospital and is the primary caregiver for her sister, Becca, who is autistic. She starts in the Pitt the same day as Dr. Trinity Santos, Dr. Dennis Whitaker, and Dr. Victoria Javadi. Mel is a compassionate doctor with a knack for connecting with her patients. She wears black scrub pants, a heather purple t-shirt, a black zip up, and Nike sneakers.
