zombie game
Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw
In Lollipop Chainsaw, Juliet Starling (voiced by Tara Strong) is a cheerleader who finds herself having to hack and slash her way through zombie hordes at San Romero High School. Luckily she’s armed with a chainsaw. To go all out with this look, you’ll want to include her boyfriend Nick’s severed-but-still-living head to hang on the belt of your costume.
Frank West from Dead Rising 2
Despite not being the primary protagonist of the second installment to the Dead Rising game franchise, Frank West (voiced by T.J. Rotolo) does return in its epilogue Dead Rising 2: Case West where he works with Chuck Greene, and becomes a playable character with the release of Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. Frank’s updated look includes rectangle sunglasses, a pendant necklace, and open-front white dress shirt splattered with plenty of blood.
Carlos Oliveira from Resident Evil 3 Remake
Carlos Oliveira (voiced by Vince Corazza) was a Corporal in the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service and a survivor of the Raccoon City Destruction Incident in the video game remake of Resident Evil 3. In the remake, Carlos gets an upgraded look from his original costuming. His updated apparel includes a more realistic look with a dark army green tactical vest and pants, black boots and matching fingerless gloves.
Kyle Crane from Dying Light
Kyle Crane (voiced by Robert Craig Smith) is the main protagonist of the survival horror games Dying Light and Dying Light: The Following. Kyle survives in an apocalyptic world overrun by zombies infected by a mysterious epidemic. At the beginning of the game, Kyle is hired by the Global Relief Effort to retrieve files stolen from them. Once he reaches the quarantined city of Hassan, Kyle must fight against infected enemies, retrieve the stolen file, and help other survivors. Kyle’s costume is tactical and functional, consisting of black sneakers and slightly distressed jeans, with a grey utility shirt and fingerless gloves. You can get creative with accessorizing by stocking yourself with supplies you might need in a zombie apocalypse.
Chuck Greene from Dead Rising 2
Chuck Greene (voiced by Peter Flemming) is a former motocross champion, a widower, and a father that will do whatever it takes to protect his daughter. Sometimes that involves fighting off the undead. Sometimes it involves things a little crazier. Chuck has the skills to handle it, though. And for as long as he can, he’s going to keep his daughter safe.
Chuck Greene is a great cosplay for those who want to be comfortable. He wears black boots, blue jeans, and a motocross jacket in yellow and black. His weapon of choice is the Paddlesaw (when he can’t ride a Slicecycle) but those aren’t exactly easy to make. A kayak paddle is a good start to one, though!
Nick Ramos from Dead Rising 3
With no memory of his past and few clues to go on, Nick (voiced by Andrew Lawrence) is one of the youngest and the most mysterious protagonists in the Dead Rising series. He also makes for a great cosplay with the exception of his weapon, the sledge saw, which takes a build all its own to replicate.
Sledge saw aside, a Nick Ramos cosplay is great for people who want something with reusable pieces. A set of coveralls with the sleeves torn off, workboots, and a patch is all you really need for the clothing. A tattoo pen lets you copy the “12” tattoo on his neck, finishing off the whole look.
Barry Burton from Resident Evil
Barry Burton from the Resident Evil franchise has been handed down from voice actor to voice actor but he remains the character that so many fans know and love. He is a dedicated family man which guides his hand in everything he does. And while is passionate about bringing down the Umbrella Corporation and stopping bioterrorism, he will not sacrifice the people he loves to do it.
He is a former member of the US Air Force and a backup for the elite S.T.A.R.S. unit. His experience means that he approaches his work with a very pragmatic and critical eye. Work boots, sturdy jeans, and an easy-access chest holster mean that he can get in, get the job done, and get out without worrying about his clothes making that harder. His buzz cut and clean shave are holdovers from his time in the military. And though he is well-versed in many weapons, he prefers his trusty revolver.
Frank West from Dead Rising 1
When Frank West is first introduced in Dead Rising 1, he is a determined and unpredictable photojournalist always on the lookout for the next big (and likely dangerous) scoop. Once he is thrown into the zombie infected town of Wilamette on assignment, he begins to uncover a sinister government cover up and becomes embroiled in it himself. Frank’s outfit is sensible, making it easy to run and fight his way out of Wilamette when necessary. If you do not already own a high-quality camera like the one Frank uses, a simple phone case made to look like one can lend the same aesthetic.
Katey Greene from Dead Rising
In Dead Rising, Katey Greene is the daughter of motocross champ Chuck Greene. After being bitten by her zombified mother, Katey must be administered daily doses of Zombrex to keep herself from turning. At one point in Dead Rising 2, Katey is looked after by Stacey Forsythe in a bunker while her father goes on several missions.
Stacey Forsythe from Dead Rising
In Dead Rising, Stacey Forsythe (voiced by Robyn Ross) heads CURE, a controversial zombie rights activist group. She stands up for civil rights and equality for the undead, and fights to give infected survivors universal access to treatments like Zombrex. Stacey also forms an alliance with Chuck Greene and protects his daughter Katey.
