Tatsu from The Way of the Househusband
Tatsu is the main character in the manga The Way of the Househusband. Written and illustrated by Kousuke Ono, it was published in the magazine Kurage Bunch since 2018, and was adapted into a live-action drama by Nippon TV in 2020. A year later, an anime adaptation was released on Netflix. Known as the “Immortal Dragon,” Tatsu is an infamous, intimidating yakuza boss. He retires from crime to support his career wife, Miku. As a result, he assumes the domestic responsibilities. This leads to comedic scenarios given his formidable appearance and background. The manga also follows his encounters with old yakuza associates and rivals.
Sasha Velour
Sasha Velour is a drag queen, artist, actor, and television producer. She won the ninth season of Rupaul’s Drag Race. Out of drag, Velour identifies as gender fluid and uses she/they pronouns. Olivia released her first full length album Sour in May, and broke the global Spotify record for the biggest opening week for an album by a female artist. Ryuji Ayukawa
Ryuji Ayukawa is a character in the manga Blue Period. Illustrated by Tsbuasa Yamaguchi, the series was serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine and has been collected in ten volumes. Also known as Yukachan, they are Yatora’s classmate and member of the art club. They invite Yatora to join the art club, which motivates his passion for painting. Ryuji specializes in Japanese art. When painting, they prefer to wear a French maid apron which matches their cute, feminine style. According to the LGBT character wiki, Ryuji is bisexual and non-binary.
Yotasuke Takahashi
Yotasuke Takahashi is a character of the manga Blue Period. Illustrated by Tsbuasa Yamaguchi, the series was serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine and has been collected in ten volumes. Also known as Sekai-kun, he is a student at Tokyo University of the Arts. He previously attended Yatora’s school. Despite his shy personality, Yotasuke is actually blunt and temperamental. He is very confident in his art abilities.
Haruka Hashida
Haruka Hashida is the a character of the manga Blue Period. Illustrated by Tsbuasa Yamaguchi, the series was serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine and has been collected in ten volumes. He previously attended Yatora’s school and he now attends Tama Art University. Cheerful and aloof, he has a strange fetish for art.
Maki Kuwana
Maki Kuwana is a character in the manga Blue Period. Illustrated by Tsbuasa Yamaguchi, the series was serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine and has been collected in ten volumes. She attended the same school as Yatora. While seemingly positive, Maki feels inferior compared to her older sister. Her lack of self confidence prevents her from seeing how her artistic innovations inspire others. She is very friendly and caring as well, as displayed through sharing her lunch with students.
Russia from Hetalia
Ivan Braginsky, also known as Russia, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. While seemingly kind and innocent, he can be cruel. The other countries are intimidated by him, almost to the point of terrified. Although he doesn’t mean to come off this way. Ironically Russia is terrified of Belarus, who stalks him and wants him to marry her. Not to say he doesn’t do any stalking of his own, as he often follows China in a panda suit.

Yatora Yaguchi is the main character of the manga Blue Period. Illustrated by Tsbuasa Yamaguchi, the series was serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine and has been collected in ten volumes. Yatora is a second year high school student, who despite his delinquent lifestyle, achieves excellent grades. He feels his life is dull and predictable, which leaves him empty and frustrated. One day, he comes across his senpai, Mori, painting in the school’s art club. Fascinated and inspired, he discovers a passion for painting. His goal is to eventually enroll in Tokyo University of the Arts.
Ruka Sarashina
Ruka Sarashina is a main character in the Rent-A-Girlfriend manga series. Illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, it has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and complied into twenty one volumes. Ruka is introduced as Shun Kuribayashi’s girlfriend, but she’s another rental girlfriend for like Chizuru. Seeing the way Kazuya cares about Chizuru, she wants to date him. She has a condition that results in a low heart rate. She realizes her feelings for Kazuya when her heart rate elevates. Later on, Ruka gets a job at the same karaoke bar as Kazyua.
