Usnavi de la Vega from In the Heights

Usnavi de la Vega (Anthony Ramos) is the main character and narrator in the movie musical, In The Heights. His name comes from the first sight his parents saw when they arrived in America: a ship that said “US Navy.” After the passing of his parents, Abuela Claudia, the beloved neighborhood matriarch, practically raised him. He owns a small bodega in Washington Heights, but his dream is to move to the Dominican Republic. It’s no secret Usnavi is in love with Vanessa. He stumbles upon human treasures and grows curious about the surface. Another sea monster named Alberto finally pushes him on land, where they both resemble human boys. On the Italian coast, they meet Guilia, a human girl who wants to win the Portorosso cup. Bright and inventive, Luca longs to go to school with her so he can learn about the world. Whenever he gets nervous or fearful, he exclaims “Silenzio Bruno!”

A year later, an anime adaptation was released on Netflix. Known as the “Immortal Dragon,” Tatsu is an infamous, intimidating yakuza boss. He retires from crime to support his career wife, Miku. As a result, he assumes the domestic responsibilities. This leads to comedic scenarios given his formidable appearance and background.
