Diego Brando is an antagonist in the Steel Ball Run arc of the anime Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Also known as Dio, like the antagonist of the first arc, he is a genius British jockey. He is projected to win the Steel Ball Run Race, a long distance horse race across the United States. Yet after learning the race's true purpose, Diego plots to gather the Saint's Corpse for President Funny Valentine instead. He acquires the Stand of Scary Monsters, and the corpse gives him the ability to turn into a dinosaur. Selfish and vindictive, he becomes a rival of Gyro Zeppeli and Johnny Joestar.
