Kakihara from Ichi the Killer

Kakihara (played by Tadanobu Asano) is the sadistic yakuza enforcer who meets his match in Ichi the Killer.  Kakihara has distinctive scars on his face, which you’ll need molding wax to replicate.  He wears a couple of outlandish outfits throughout the film, though the embellished shirt and iridescent pants he wears in his final showdown with Ichi is certainly one of the most striking.  To recreate his costume, you may need to be a little flexible, as finding a holographic purple suit and sequin-embellished dress shirt can be difficult.  A rose-gold button-down with a shimmery gold floral pattern will fill in nicely, and you can either choose to focus on the colors of Kakihara’s suit or the holographic quality, depending on your preference.

count dracula from renfield

Count Dracula from Renfield

Count Dracula (played by Nicolas Cage) is the centuries-old vampire who keeps the titular R.M. Renfield in his employ in the horror comedy Renfield.  Renfield has been the Count’s familiar for centuries, helping the intimidating vampire secure food and achieve his full power.  All is well and good until Renfield decides he’s had enough.  Count Dracula’s attire in the film varies, but you can always bet he’s wearing something snazzy and a little over the top.  Two of his best looks include a red velvet suit with a golden brooch instead of a tie, as well as an all-black ensemble that includes a fur-trimmed coat and a cane.  No matter which look you choose, you’ll need white makeup and blue lipstick to achieve a truly undead look.  Accessorize with long nails, terrifying teeth, and plenty of oversized rings.

belle bottom from rise of gru

Belle Bottom from Minions: The Rise of Gru

Belle Bottom (voiced by Taraji P. Henson) is the disco-themed supervillain in Minions: Rise of Gru.  Belle is a member of the Vicious 6, which a young Gru desperately wishes to be part of.  However, she dashes his dreams when she tells him that villainy is for adults and not children, which leads him to steal the Zodiac Stone from her.  Belle’s costume is a throwback to the ’70s, with a purple jumpsuit and platform shoes, a big afro hairstyle, and gold jewelry.  Finding her long purple leopard print coat with bright pink trim is almost impossible, so don’t be afraid to find a robe or coat that evokes a similar feel even if it isn’t a perfect match.

veronica from heathers

Veronica from Heathers

Veronica (played by Winona Ryder) is the main character of the high school-set dark comedy Heathers.  Veronica and JD were wreaking havoc on Westerburg High Schoo long before the film received the musical treatment.  Veronica wears a number of 80s-inspired outfits throughout the film.  Some of her most iconic include the tiered skirt and black crop top she wears in the woods before she realizes how dark JD’s plans truly are, the sweater and dress she dons at a convenience store, and her soot-stained outfit from the end of the film, which includes the same grey sweater she wears in the woods, a blue shirt, and checkered skirt.  No matter what outfit Veronica’s wearing, a pair of dark tights finish the look in true 80s fashion.

miles bron from glass onion

Miles Bron from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Miles Bron (played by Edward Norton) is the enigmatic billionaire at the heart of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Miles invites all his closest friends to a remote island for a murder mystery game, only for things to get a little too real. Despite his affluent status, Miles is depicted as mostly wearing relatively simple clothing. He greets his guests, including estranged business partner Andi Brand and incredible sleuth Benoit Blanc, barefoot and wearing striped pajamas. At dinner, he dons a pair of khakis with a grey v-neck sweater and a pendant necklace which ties in to the murder mystery he’s devised for his guests.

Eli Hale from Teen Wolf: The Movie

He attends Beacon Hills High School where he plays lacrosse. However, he isn’t very coordinated. Eli is also known as a troublemaker for frequently stealing Stiles’ jeep.

claire debella from glass onion

Claire Debella from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Claire Debella (played by Kathryn Hahn) is a liberal politician whose biggest donor is Miles Bron in Glass Onion:  A Knives Out Mystery. Claire has known Miles and the rest of the crew for many years, and remains loyal to Miles because of his immense contributions to her political campaign, even going so far as to lie about the beginnings of the company Miles founded with Andi Brand at the latter’s expense despite having concerns about some of his projects.  Claire wears hardly any color throughout the film, continuously opting for shades of beige and tan in her wardrobe, so much so that Miles even comments on it at one point.  To recreate her look from dinner, you’ll need a beige dress, blazer, and espadrille sandals.  Finding a sheath dress that matches may cost a bit more, since her chic look does come with a price tag.  But if you plan to leave the blazer on, you may be able to get away with a casual dress to wear underneath that’s a bit more budget friendly.

lionel toussaint from glass onion

Lionel Toussaint from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Lionel Toussaint (played by Leslie Odom, Jr.) is a high-ranking employee of Miles Bron‘s successful company in the film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.  Lionel has reservations about Miles’ latest green energy initiative, which he shares with Claire Debella.  On the trek to Miles’ private island, Lionel wears brightly colored paints and a muted tunic with wooden beads.  For dinner, he wears a snazzy green suit with a wishbone brooch and black hat.

peg from glass onion

Peg from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Peg (played by Jessica Henwick) is Birdie Jay‘s assistant in the murder mystery film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Peg has the unenviable job of not only adhering to Birdie’s whims, but also keeping her off social media so she can’t do further damage to her image.  Peg seems to be the least enthralled by Miles Bron, disliking the way he intends to make Birdie take the fall for their joint business.  She is rather enamored of Andi Brand for this reason, given Andi stands up to Miles.  Peg is dressed down throughout the film, arriving in a pair of sweat shorts and a bucket hat.  She wears the same strapped sandals throughout, including to dinner where she wears a white tee under a green pleated dress.  Despite everyone else receiving a custom glass with their drink of choice, Miles serves Peg in a red Solo cup.
