Murray Bauman from Stranger Things

In the second season of Stranger Things, Murray Bauman (played by Brett Gelman) is introduced as a private investigator hired by Barb's parents to look into her disappearance.  Murray also plays an important role in Nancy and Jonathan's investigation into the Hawkins lab.  Murray is bit nutty and a conspiracy theorist, but he is also shown to be intelligent and dedicated to uncovering the truth.
